so i see the new suggestion about headshots doing more damage and bodyshots doing less. i think that would be a mistake..
IMO the problem with ranged is Looms. You can loom a sword 3 times and get a little extra damage. You can loom an xbow/bow AND the damn arrows/bolts giving them far more bonus and damage from looms then any other class.
I mean loomed bolts get +5 damage and +1 ammo thats crazy when added to the + dmg of the xbow
my suggestion is simple. Remove the damage bonus to loomed ammo but increase the extra ammo added to the stack.
using steel bolts for an example
normal bolts
12 ammo
6 pierce
Loomed bolts
13 ammo
11 pierce
my idea would be
loomed bolts
6 pierce (or maybe 8)
17 ammo
I think reducing the effect of Loomed missles would reduce the overall damage and balance it out a bit

I really dont think classes need nerfing except for the thing with some classes getting dbl dmg for looms.
No other class gets this and I dont think ranged need it that bad.

gisbert its not really much of a nerf :P your the only class that gets dmg bonus twice. just seems odd is all <3

But if instead of having extra damage you had extra ammo maybe 1 stack would do and archers could carry decent melee weapons? :P

For that you would have to double the ammount of arrows per stack :P
Otherwise I will still take 2 stacks as I'm much much much better with a bow than with a melee weapon. I can defend myself and get some kills with a sword, but I can get many many kills with my bow :)
