Would it be possible with the new scripting capabilities for a rider to give a lift to a footsoldier?

I think it would bring alot of new plays and fun.
Hurry in ladder, drop off some flankers.
Deploy tincans where needed...endless possibilities... :)

Sounds legit. Gunna employ me a rear gunner for my warhorse, and strap TomMyyY to the front with a lance..

Even better Suggestion:

Do that, but make it only availabe for the War Elephant wich your are going to implement.

So a War Elephant can have a Rider with a lance and a Passenger with a bow.

my original suggestion was primarily meant as a way to transport people, not as a platform for fighting.
It doesnt break realism either, riding double has been done at all times.

Like a vanguard, preparing for the the mainforce, scouting. Less mindless running.
would make the fighting more dynamic, expands cav role , makes horses more valuable, offers plenty of new teamwork variants.
Rescue ppl from tough spots, reinforce weakspots, move key players to where they are needed.
And probably some interesting 2player tactics.

??Maybe 1 ridingskill  required to take the "backseat", and a temporary 20% slowdown of the horses maxspeed.??

Passenger mounts like today, and demounts by jumping off, rearing causes passenger to fall off the horse.
Jumping off while the horse is running ,causes knockdown.

Ofc depending on if it is possible and wanted

I think it would be great :)

+1 to this entire post. Implement it, but nerf it to the ground so that it's only good if you have 2 people who know how to work together, and the rider knows what he's doing.

I think the objective is more for transportation than fighting, but I'm not sure.

The rider should have to press some button to confirm they want the person on...

Yes, I think this would be awesome.  It would have to slow down the horse (obviously), and I think the guy getting a lift shouldn't be able to attack (to keep it balanced). 

I didn't read the thread because 2 guys, 1 horse sounds too close to 2 girls 1 cup

Nice idea, would be fun if the passenger was the only one who was able to swing his weapon, but i think it should only be used as transportation, otherwise the game would turn into road rash with horses...
