Title: Open field maps gone from EU rotation - why?

please bring them back, i'm tired of perma villages or town maps.

I disagree. What ever good that would do. Very open maps tend to favor some classes over others.

and village maps tend to favor the other classes, obviously, i would love some open maps...

Ah, but see, Melee classes love close-in maps due to them not worrying about a hailstorm of arrows and unexpected cav charges. Melee classes are also the majority of users, and add to the fact that Throwers want cover to get to their targets, you get open-maps viewed in a poor light.

every map will have an advantage over certian classes, i don't see the problem with having a few open maps though, they were pretty fun to play...

as a 99% melee user i actually prefer a flat open field

you have to watch out for cav in most maps anyway

there's nowhere for ranged to camp except their own siege shields

i just generally have more fun in that kind of map i guess

i don't want every map to be open (btw i play mostly infantry lately)

imo it should be like
25% open fields
25% towns, cities, close quarters
25% villages
25% native maps
