Title: Ridiculous ping times.. again
Post by: Christo on February 22, 2011, 07:14:20 pm: Am I the only one with this problem? Yesterday night it was just okay, I had 50ms ping max.
But now? It won't go under 100!, max is around 300-400. The hell?

Ran virus scans, multiple speed&ping tests, they are all fine.

So what the hell is going on? I want to play god damn it. :?

I did a reset from the admin panel.. maybe I need to re-plug things, but the "working room" where the router and modem is, right now it's locked. I'll try to do it physically later.

There are lots of new (or modified) maps on the siege servers. When many people download those new maps at the same the ping for everyone increases.

Post by: Engine on February 23, 2011, 04:38:42 pm: Severe ping spikes happen to me occasionally on the NA servers (haven't tested others). My normal ping is 40 or 50, and it jumps to 400-500 for about 30 seconds at a time. This seems to be random, and goes away just as randomly.

Post by: InqWiper on February 23, 2011, 08:59:49 pm: I for some reason have 30-40 ping in the server browser but when I enter the game its at 150-200. This is on most EU servers. I think there is one or two that I have under 100 on ingame. Had this problem for about a week.
