Title: Still waiting for Roman and Greek Armour
Post by: Formless on January 06, 2012, 03:14:22 am
Almost since the beginning of this mod, me and many other players have been asking for Roman and Greek armour.  One day I am sure chadz will cave in......one day .  In the meantime here is another poll asking for it.   :D

Shameless Bump...cause Roman and Greek armour is awesome.  Is there a mod out there we can import these models from and into Crpg.

Roman armors in the medieval? no thanks

You know Caldaria is a fake world, right?  :D  Plus we have guys playing in armour ranging from 4 th century all the way up to the 16th century.  These armours would never be seen together on the same battlefield anyway.  So any argument "to maintain historical accuracy" is shot to pieces before it even takes off.  Not to mention that guys mix and match armour sets on the same chars not only from different centuries but also from vastly different regions as well.  So lets add these armours into our fake little world, they are super cool from two of the most interesting civilizations ever and they look great, what's not to like.

P.S  The Roman Lorica Segmentata was used till the 4th century by mercenary troops, so even if you are going to go down the "historical accuracy" route, Roman armour should still make it into the game, as it was used in the early medieval period.

Thread like this has been made so many times before and devs arent interested (I am 100% for these armors, its not like battles dont look like parades even now).
anyways, get ready for some flame.

people who care about "historical accuracy"...

...

THEY ARE COMING.

No reason not to implement it. Maybe someday, devs will listen to the community. Or at least respond with a reason why not :)
