Title: Forum question: what's buddy list?

I understand this list is for your friend... but what does it do? I mean I put tears and some dev into it to see what it does but no effect so far.
is it just to make a counterpart to ignore list?

It means that you can set your messages to only allow people on your friends list to PM you, for example.

Also, all friends/buddies will show up in Bold text when looking at who is on the forums or in a thread.

So for example.

Tears of Destiny is what I normally look like, and Tears of Destiny is what my name would look like to those who have me on their friends list, so I show up easier.

Heh, problem is I turned my status to "Invisible," though maybe I will turn it back to visible now that I stalk the forums less.

I was doing 40 to 50 a day. I've been at 6K posts for a while now.
