btw, the reason why crpg has so much dating adds, is because a lot of the guys out here don't have girlfriends/(life) i think.

Yeah, all my ads are google ads I guess because I only ever get Jimmy John's, Macy's and lately ads from this tea website (because recently I was looking for a new teapot)

Those ads are based on previous records, e.g. where you have been registered surfing, dating ads usually appears due to the user previously having surfed porno sites, that will add the dating ads into the remnant ads system (when there's no more profitable or 'better' ads to show to the user).

Papa John's Pizza, Babysite, Usite (seems at a glance some coupon site?), Asian Dating thingy, LaQuinta Inn and Suites, Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online, some stock market thingy, airlines thingy from the cube people, other airlines thingy... every other one seems to be the pizza thingy...

I guess I go to the pizza site a lot? Nothing explains the baby sites or pregnancy planning stuff though...

I've never seen ads on the CRPG page and I am shocked and surprised to hear that they exist.

Also saddened that so many people are WILLING to do stuff like watch commercials and see annoying shit all over the web.  Get a Good Browser, download third party blocker extensions, and experience bliss.

To tell you the truth I didn't even notice the adds until this thread pointed them out. After a while your brain automatically ignores it. I guess there's potential for subliminal shit in there.

You guys have some awesome and interesting advertisements, all I get is online mmo advertisements, I guess it's from my excessive time playing WoW that part of my life I don't remember.

Edit: On the forum site I have just got a pregnancy related advertisement, now that is interesting indeed. Worse still an advert is trying to get me to download Internet explorer.

I am pretty sure everyone is aware that there is something called Adblock (Plus), unblocking websites that you actually support is smart though.

Most free sites live from that income.

If any of you are using ad blockers - I personally use https everywhere, adblock plus and noscript - you should disable adblocking on C-rpg.net and in general on any website you support. Ad income is the only source of revenue for many projects and it is the only alternative to user payments, which most do not want. Everyone hate ads, that's a given, but they're the only thing that keep many websites and projects running.

I block all ads by default, but on sites I appreciate and use I've disabled all my blockers.
