Title: Don't balance armor costs after the looks!
Post by: Zlisch_The_Butcher on December 27, 2011, 04:03:53 am
Let's have a look at one of Zlischs favorite armors...
the Churburg cuirass, there are three items texture choices...

Blue Churburg Cuirass:
weight: 23.6
body armor: 55
leg armor: 19
difficulty: 14

Price 23,097

Red Churburg Cuirass:
weight: 23.6
body armor: 55
leg armor: 19
difficulty: 14

Price 23,589...
...wait what?

Churburg Cuirass:
weight: 23.6
body armor: 55
leg armor: 19
difficulty: 14

Price 24,066...
...WTF?

Am I the only one seeing these numbers? I'm gonna assume the answer is no, and seriously, am I the only one who don't think it makes any fucking sense?

Add the fancy clothes and the armor rating 7 gauntlets too. I don't mind it though, as long as it is done consistently. The churburg armor with mail should have 1 higher leg armor though imo, and the fat plate armor with the same stats as the churburgs but lower cost should be adjusted too.

Blue churburg - same
red churburg - same (ornate, slightly higher price than blue)
Plate armor - up the weight to 24, +1 to leg armor, price equal to or greater than red churburg
Mail churburg - up the weight to 24, +1 leg armor, price slightly higher than plate armor

this is sort off nit-picky, w/e

I remember when the price of noble gear went from 500 to 3000. I was pissed that I wasn't more heavily invested in cotton. I had one of each, I just wish I had put all 80k into these babies visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Then I would have been the rich man!

red is moer expensie then blue because of the golden edges, gold is more expensive then the red because it has mail instead of cloth.

proble solved

Ya'll saying it's more expensive due to the gold and the chainmail, yet, due to the chain shouldn't it give a higher armor bonus then?

yeah, maybe 1 more body and leg armor and a bit more weight.
