I'd say a 2000 cap would be cool.
The current one looks so random.

i am gen 19, but i mostly sit on x5, so it goes quick :mrgreen:
made like 300k exp over last several maps, since i joined i gained x5 and sit on it till now :) lucky? perhaps, still, counts :P

without multi i just tend to grind anyways, so no real difference for me 8-)

Generation 14 I am. In 2 more generations, I'll stop gaining a bonus of experience. It's kind of... depressing to think about really.

I would like to see the multiplier cap increased for every generation. Or at least all few generations. This way you can have x6, x8 or even x12, if you deserve it. :wink:
Could motivate veteran players to play more "for the team" perhaps... and they would still have to earn their generation bonus, instead of just 30xp per generation and tick more, never mind how much they are fooling around on the map... :?

Sounds cool, but maybe a combination of both would be better. Because it really sucks to lose everything when you have x12 :P

The current system is pretty strange. In general more progression in games means slower progression. This happens in crpg levels and it's a reason which keeps some people playing characters to higher levels than 31. In long term retirement progression the trend is opposite: The more you retire, the easier it is to retire next time.
As much as I wish I had retired a shitton with the old system that was in place when I started playing crpg, the current xp bonuses are far better.
EDIT: The generations increasing max multiplier is pretty interesting solution that could be added as an extra, at least if it has some limits (like +1 per 3 generations with cap at 10x for starters). Could cause "issues" with teamstacking siege or something, but whatever.

increase xp per round. Make ticks every 30 seconds. And give us Xp per kills. So the players who do more get rewarded for it. Mr.Leech at the bottom has to earn his keep.

I have said this before and I shall say it again.
I think that they should either keep the 3% bonus for retirement and have no cap or they should give a 10% bonus for retirement and cap it at gen 11. (+100%)

In general I believe the game should be easily accessible to new players. Gen bonus is counter to that.
However, decreasing xp bonus per gen could be a good idea.
Something like 20%/10%/5%/2,5%/1,25% and a continous halving of bonus.
Would in reality give gen 5 top bonus.
(If you wonder, my main is gen 11).

More bonus to lower gens, less bonus to higher gens. Why would be grind rewarded with extra xp?

They should make the Max level 35. it's already insanely long to get to. Most of the highest players are 33 34 very very few 35 or so.
So make max level 35. Increase Xp gains per tick, make every tick every 30 seconds because some rounds end very fast and you barely get anything, if you have x5 or high mulits. You should be rewarded with slighty more Exp if you help the team out more. It will still take a VERY long time to get to 35. This bonus below is just a helping hand, an increase to make it slightly faster for players who deserve it.
1. Maybe plus 30 xp per kill or something, a small number but it helps or maybe slighty more. bonus exp for opening gates, being there to cap a flag or save your flag. Stuff like this. And also losing a little exp for teamkills. All these are good incentives to win and have fun while helping your team.
2. Many players who do the bulk of the work; by kills, capping the flags etc should be rewarded with extra things. Vsers the people that just leech, or don't assist that much at all. It's simple, they'll still get the normal exp everyone gets. Plus the Xp from the kills they do get.
This will just reward the players that put more time into the game. Vsers the players that sit there with their thumbs up their asses leeching being useless. They shouldn't get the same Xp just cause some players on the team are carrying them. If they want the added xp they work for it.
this would be a fair system making everyone have reasons to help more.

The max cap is 16 that is really sucks no offence, it would be a lot better if the max cap is over 10000. you get 30+ exp per gen, thats fair so WHY HAVE A MAX CAP LIMIT. :evil:

If they would do anything to increase xp gain it would only benefit clanners who already have a huge advantage over regular folk. Increasing the generation xp cap would really just help their grinding motivation for reaching lvl 35. Just leave it as it is: PERFECT.
You are right about this one, though. But I think it's a basic problem: if you don't want to make cRPG to be a combination of about hundred one-man-shows divided into two teams, reducing the game to pure reflexes and muscle memory (?), teamplay and tactics should be taken into account. And unless you support pug players that well with tactical ingame features (look at the "teamplay - how can we resurrect it...?"-topic), that teamspeak is only a little improvement, any change that improves/encourages teamplay will benefit clan players more.
In fact clan player will always benefit the most of everything you do, unless you start rewarding casual and inward-looking gameplay (e.g. the longer you are online the less rewards you get per tick, being offline a few days regenerates this, and similarly retarded and useless changes), as clanplayers are usually "more everything" (concerning positive aspects) than casuals. I hope you know what I mean. It's because being a good clan player means being someone who tries to get the most out of the game.

with new balancing method, and switching almost every round , x5 is hard to gain, and we need to compesate xp gain.. we need higher cap..

Earlier today (example) I was on eu1, First I was on the same team for 4 rounds, which we lost (4 times in a row), then I got swaped to the other team with some other guys, and then the other team won 4 times, so I lost 8 rounds in a row, and I max had 3x two times today, and a bunch of 1x.
