Title: [EU] Unreal
Post by: Candiru on December 25, 2011, 10:01:34 pm
So I just got banned for opening the gate in siege as I wanted to go outside to fight. I can admit that opening the gates wasn't very cool but there were many people right there ready to close them soon after I went outside. As soon as I opened the gate some random started attacking me to death so I votebanned her. A few seconds later I get banned myself. I was sincerely shocked to be honest. And my intention wasn't even to open the gates to let the enemy team enter. I wanted to go outside as I had a 11-1 KD just by fighting outside. It happened just at the start of the round so there was really no way either that the enemy team could have made it inside the castle during that time.

Surely a warning/kick would have been a better solution. I won't be making any unban topic about this as I know that I did nothing to deserve a ban :)

Just wanted to express myself and if you deem to be right you should take some kind of measures against this admin. Or if I was to recieve an immediate unban that would settle everything.

I'd also like to add that I'm very dissapointed in the people who immediately requested a ban for such a small thing. Or perhaps pity is the correct word?

Cheers.

So i just played crpg with a friend. He is new in Crpg and just a peasant. I was playing at talking with him all the time. His only point: He always died and had scores like 0-15. But he was walking around and attacking enemies all the time. Suddenly Unreal_The_Basterd banned him for one day. Without any warning. Reason: Leeching.
Well i thought leeching would be: No Weapons, No Armour, No Fighting?
He had a weapon (some 1H), he had an Armour (Light Strange Armour) and he was fighting.

So why you banned him? Im realy angry right now because he is a good friend of mine.

It appears I'm not the only one having issues with this admin.

Tried talking to him to come to some sort of understanding. I explained everything and he wasn't reasonable at all. Could post image of the conversation if needed. This is my last entry. I'll leave my records to speak for themselves. I would suggest that you look at them and decide yourself if I'm the "ideal" rulebreaker.

What a coincidence, right? But it would have been smoother if all this was posted in my topic :)

So let's see:

You fail to grasp that opening the gate as a defender is a serious issue, doesn't matter if the team won or lost, and you wanted a warn and a kick before... How long have you been playing CRPG?
Since you have clean records you could have just written an apology instead of making this a big deal, like you accused me of doing so.
Also saying things like "this won't be forgotten" or telling me how I should procede, doesn't help you at all

Ban was for 1h, when i spectated him he was hiding in a shack, and I looked at his score, bad timing.

Btw Candiru, this isn't really helping your situation...

Maybe, maybe not. I'm still allowed to post here as this is actually helping my situation alot. Let's keep the shit between you and me in my own topic, yeah? :)

Why should I be apologizing? Maybe I would have if you weren't so quick on banning me. And me saying "this won't be forgotten" means that I will simply not sit by and take this punishment as if I had done something worth a ban. You can take that as you wish. I'm not trying to provoke you or anything. I tried being reasonable explaining everything. I was very calm about this aswell. I'm not telling you how to do your admin work. I'm saying that there are cases where you could actually be reasonable instead of going to the ban straight away. Especially when it wasn't really my intent to let the enemy team enter the castle which they didn't. And since when is opening some bloody doors more severe than teamkilling? If anything you should have banned that random dude who started killing me right after. No one is allowed to teamkill as they see fit. Report it to admins and let them deal with it. And I don't know why you had to make all of this such a big deal to begin with. Unbanning me after I spoke to you would have sufficed.

Well Candiru afaik opening gates in Siege as defender is under whatsoever circumstances forbidden and banable, not completly sure though. Then again Candiru isnt the Kind of guy who wants to make his team loose. Hes quite the opposit

Doesen't matter now. I'll take the punishment. Delete this thread or something. Was all really silly to begin with. I regret all of this. Sorry for acting this way.

Big " - " to this admin...

Today, he banned my friend for something. I was on the other server when I heard about it. So I came to EU_2 and asked in "I" chat why he was banned and how long that ban will last. He didn't answer. So I tried few times more in next 30minutes. He was online, because he banned other guy for tking too. And didn't want to talk with me of course....

So how so antisocial and surly guy could become an admin? I thought they aren't only to ban people, but to talk with cRPG community too...

I've always seen him administer the servers quite well, and it feels good to have an admin from my neighbour country. Obrigado!

If you get punished by him, believe me, you deserved it. Otherwise he wouldn't care less, such a prick.

Wow, I anwser all of your ban requests and I get a bad feedback from you?
Also if you want to talk with me its better through PM or IRC, since the siege chat is almost impossible to talk with anyone.

I'm proud and pleased you banned all guys from my 2 requests (soon will be 3rd one :) ). But it is not about answers on forum, just ingame...

I fell in rage and post that denigrate opinion because I was asking you few times about 1 stupid thing and you didn't want to answer me. It would be enough to write olny date and reason...

I didn't think about IRC that day...

It would be impossible not to miss a lot of chatting in-game, people should never take an incident like yours as a sign of arrogance (e.g. not answering) - I'm sure some do not because they are arrogant gimplets, but in general it is more due to all the 'spam' from kills and chatting in general.
