Title: The random suggestion of Isatis for less runners!! (crossbow second mode)
Post by: isatis on December 23, 2011, 05:20:26 pm
ok, i've tried a new class this last week, and you know what? it's was one of the my old friendgest class ever: crossbow no wep. why such an harsh (my old friend) because I didn't figth, ever and I just run away, recharge and shoot again and again and again!!!

so here's my suggestion se crosswbow runner will may be act like cool people (because I know they all want to)

add a secondary mode for crossbow!!!
would be amazing!!
so here the stat: those are NOT OP

for the normal crossbow:
pole arm
no overhead
thrust: 15B
swing: 20 b
length: like 70

hunting
pole arm
no overhead
thrust: 13B
swing:  16b
length: like 70

arbalest:
pole arm
no overhead
thrust: 17b
swing: 25 b
length: like 70

almost only for blocking a bit but still we could figth!!

Help us being better person, add crossbow secondary mode!!

No
Reason:
1.U can't block with a crossbow
2.It would make more damage than a staff or some other weaps (so would be op)
3.And crossbower would abuse that because they dont have to take a meele weap with them and my old friend more around because normally the most crossbower are using a dagger,1hander or mace for fighting and would take +1 steel bolts and -1 meele weapon
Example:
Equipment now:
Crossbow (1 Slot)
(2) Steelbolts (1/2 Slots)
Meeleweapon (2/1 Slots)

With ure patch:
Crossbow (1 Slot)
3 Steelbolts (3 Slots)

or 2 Crossbows (2 Slots)
2 Steelbolts (2 Slots

Now:
Arbalest (2 Slots)
(2) Steelbolts (1/2 Slots)
Meeleweapon (0/1 Slots)

With u:
Arbalest (2 Slots)
2 Steelbolts (2 Slots)

Result:
U would have less weight and still a good weapon and u can my old friend more around

yup, try to hit something with 70 length: did you ever tried to use jarids in secondary mode? try it, and you'll see this ain't OP at all   (srsly maybe I can put less damage and horrific speed like 85 so no more op)

bah, maybe you are right, BUT what would you love more : crossbow runners OR crossbow runner with bad melee fighting you in emergency OR crossbow hybrid with good 1h owning?

and I already done twin crossbow twin bolt: hit n' run.

I just want crossbow to be an entire class, not just a side wep or a troll built or an arbalest shotgunner.

maybe you're right, but I say give it a try and we'll see!

I approve of this.

Totally balanced.

Only if the xbow becomes unusable after combat with it :P if the string breaks on the xbow it must be used as a melee weapon for the rest of the game.

But anyway, in all seriousness this is an awful proposal. Xbows cannot be used as effective long term melee weapons in real life or for balance sakes :p

Only if it broke the god damned xbow so you couldn't shoot with it any more.

That makes it better
but with the fighting with 70 length i can fight with wakizashi (70 length)
maybe we can give it a try but it should be mostly for blocking not for killing 5 guys in a row

And why polearm...?

so length is even more evil! (ex: 70 length would be like 60 from 1h)
also I would personnaly put two hand on my crossbow if i wanted to defend against an upcoming attack

on a side note, yup it would be mainly for blocking

and it could be a good idea to make it unusable after you switch to melee. would be awesome!!

this is retarded....then I want my bow to do the same....i mean shiiiit if you can block with a wooden stick why can't with my bow right? .....both are wrong and so is a xbow blocking as a polearm.
