I recently started playing cRPG, and I have to say it's the most entertaining m&b mp i played so far.
But i recently came across this great looking sp mod and i thought: wow..they have all sorts of stuff, new weapons, armors, horses, textures maps, faces, even new combat animations, and i wondered if at some point they could be used in cRPG. This mod is a combination of lots of small different mods, and it's open source. Probably the admins already know of its existence, but just in case i post it here.

Floris 2.5 beta (this is what the mod currently has):

Thanks!

The problem with Floris is, that it's a mod compilation. For each mod the Floris team uses, they had to ask for permission.
(IIRC)
Now say you'd like to implement xy armor, weapon from floris. (There are good ones, I know that well.)
You'd have to track down who made the stuff you want, and have to ask for permission anyway.

They did have to ask permission, but I've taken a look at the individual mods in their original thread, and most say u don't need to ask for permission anymore, just include their mod and name in the credits of your mod.

As long as it's not the terrain mods, because all that extra flora and high-res environments would kill not only mine but many other computers as well.

I myself play on a crappy four year old laptop that my friends make fun of xD but I won't play on this shit forever hopefully, and it would be nice to have all this realism features as an option,as it is irrelevant to gameplay.however lots of new equipment, and new optional combat animations by papa lazarou would just be AWESOME

Ah, that's good news.

If its optional why not, but personally I dont like much of the darker "natural" terrain. So it shouldnt be mandatory.

If you read floris mod pack introduction:
It said they are also using my chinese models in their mod. by alex dragon

Is this one of those mods like Polished Landscapes that adds a dozen of non-existant trees that block of your vision and have no actualy physical model and only exist to your eyes? It makes the game prettier, especially on random plains and such, but doesn't fit for most maps. And it's a huge handicap for awareness.
Some cool stuff in there, also a lot of fantasy type stuff that doesn't belong in crpg though.

Floris is a mod compilation.yes, it uses polished landscapes, flora...and lots of other visual features, that I believe you can already use with crpg if you like them-your computer stands it. I was talking about something else: Lots of new weapons and armor, new horses, camels..new combat animations for those who like them, shield bash... And I think most of it is open source. In my opinion this mod could improve a lot with these additions.
