Title: Village ai buys wierd equip

Last legio battle (for thsbtin) we looted like 10.000 head wrappings and thousands of linen tunic. While the village had only 500 ticket. We also heard that it happened to other clans

BIA looted about 4500 head wrappings and 1500 linen tunic. I think it happens when village already have equip and few money remaining. This money is not enough to buy any useful equip, therefore it is wasted, buying strange amount of very cheap equip.

For the last time, post a proper bug report in the Strategus Issues forum instead of repeating this useless and completely exaggerated whine like a mantra in unrelated threads. mr OkIn, i think replying in a closed thread is a little bit rude from a admin, i can not reply there you know. I read in another thread today at work where you asked me to make a thread, and now i am replying. and on a second note Mercs usaly don't report on forums, but go to cmpx or others with the bugs, especially when game breaking ones.

First post here shows the truth. The AI buy script is now confirmed broken. battles i can confirm had over bought shitty equipment in was :

EU   Siege   12/09 20:01    Raven  a:1898 s:1427 k:471    Yalibe  a:529
EU   Siege   12/07 21:03    Legione Italica  a:897 s:524 k:373    Tshibtin  a:500

both had excessive amounts of hats and wrappings and similar stuff.


the reason most likely that no one reported this was that the villages there had like 13 defenders, and prob most of them don't hassle with making bug reports.

Okay, so if it never happened before and is now happening to everybody, then some fairly recent change must have broken it. Let's hope chadz can figure out what the problem is.

serr, based on what you said, it sounds like the village buys normal gear, then all this crap as extra? Or does it only buy bad gear?

Ginger, unfortunately the thread was already locked when I got to it -- I can only reply where it's written. You can try to contact devs directly, but unless it's some kind of exploit that needs to be prevented from spreading, it's always best to also post a thread. :)

I think, yes. There was also normal equip for village defence. And total cost of that weird equip, despite on huge amount, was not more than 500 gold.

Yeap, Rduna thought it was a good idea to stock up on 6000-some head wrappings (of course it was in preparation of the whomping they were due to receive upon their noggins) and about 1200 linen tunics. They only lost 75 tickets from the battle, and yet this is far more stuff than it could have possibly used.

6000 head wrappings... could've bought like one pike with that amount of gold!

Yeah that's some shitty AI buying...I could see 500 head wrappings, but why would they buy 1000's more than they could even use...

Fix strategus please!

I can confirm that after the Guards took Tash Kulun we looted 10k head wrappings and x enormous amounts of linen tunics.
