Looking through the shields, it seems to me that the circularly challenged don't get enough love. Especially the regular Board Shields- whose slot limits were recently changed.
I firmly believe that these should remain at 1 slot. It's clear to any shielder that the non-round shields are inferior in battle. While I understand that the board shields should, theoretically, be just as good and better in some situations, they fall short in practice. They tend to fall prey to odd animation collisions and other idiosyncrasies that lead shielders to pick round shields instead.
As such, the only people who tend to pick them are role-players- and there's absolutely no reason to hit them with the nerf stick when my elite cavalry shield does better in battle despite being a one-slot shield. This may also lead non role-players to at least consider the board shield before joining the round bandwagon.
tl;dr: restore Board Shields to their one-slot status.

Agreed, but i never saw somthing done to favor role play...

It was niche even for hybrid shielders. There is absolutely no reason to use a 2 slot Board Shield, because anyone who has room for it would use the Heavy Board Shield instead (which is already barely used). It is pretty much useless as a 2 slotter.
I was actually holding myself back by using a Board Shield. I am now being forced to use a better, 1 slot shield, such as a Heavy Round Shield, which is faster, has more resistance, and better coverage overall. I've been made better due to this change, and I hate it. I don't get shot on the sides anymore. I catch more projectiles while not holding my shield up. It's terrible. I want my board back.

i agree

I am sorry, but I disagree.
I let my guy use board shield.
Every 2h/ pole-noob who falls by my hybrid peasants scimitar insults me. This is not very nice. Last guy was this poleaxespamming noob Koldborn.
Therefore, I suggest old board shield 1 slot, plain board shield 2 slots, board shield 3 slots and heavy board shield 4 slots.
Our fellow 2h/pole guys need all the help they can get.
I mean, yesterday I even saw a poleaxe-guy who tried to parry (and died - should have just followed the spam-guide, lololawl)

no reason why regular board shield should be 2 slots. Like Gristle mentioned, 1slot round shields are better in every respect except HP (which doesnt matter if you're dead due to the shield not doing its job blocking).
-
The way the board shield is held when not actively blocking makes it fairly useless to catch stray arrows, compared to the round shields which do a fairly good job.
Low shield skill people though, are better off with a board shield since they wont get shot in the foot. I'm talking about 2h/polearm people who just carry it to get close enough to melee without being shot.

Veteran archers though know to aim for the shoulder with low skill boarders. =\
