Distances (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ar8dcvRRJBczdDB4TWhVX0dRSTZSb0NfLS1mVm9TMHc#gid=6)
It includes
measureing of distances between fiefs
(thanks vovka for the formula)
and usable as reference database a list of fiefs in with the following values
name id type x y
(thanks Espu pointing out where the coordinates could be found)
* for castles
** for towns
villages don't have a special identifier in the drop down menu
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Trading 5. (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ar8dcvRRJBczdGt0NDJxUTFyallDa1NBR1ZMQVlRMkE#gid=7) Spreadsheat
since strat 3.0 i am working on that spreadsheat, there are still some things i want to include, perahps you can help me with the formulars for that and i put them in. Those formulas i'd like are mentioned in the spreadsheat in the TAB "Trade Secrets"
Also for me and my clan or the CFA alone, it is impossible to keep the data for all places up to date. If you want to contribute and have more actual data please post them in the form of
fief: [fief name]
faction: [faction name]
tax: [tax% at the for named fief]
price: [goods price at that fief]
prosperity: [prosperity at that fief]
trade status: [ is it availabel for trade]
f.e.
fief: Khudan
tax: 5%
price: 20
prosperity: 300
trade status: closed
or
fief: Tismirr
tax: 20%
price: 22
prosperity: 300
trade status: permission requested

So....... why did you quote your own post with seemingly no changes and nothing to add?
-
I think? to reserve 2nd post?
Not sure...
-
Heh, the document is empty...
I thought it was to help other, in fact you want others to help you!?
-
Hardly a service then, eh?
-
I don't get the sense in this as I can see every distance from my current position by myself with eyecandy.

it is not empty, check again, there is a full list of the fief names with columns and stuff.

it has the feature that when you hover over a fief or player with your mouse on the strat map, that the distance to it will be shown by the mouse cursor.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kinngrim is working on making this list to calc the distances for everyone to see as a service for strat players, but this can't be done by a few people only, it's alot of work, but when its done you can calc trade bonuses with it and find the best fiefs for your caravan routes depending on where you are

heh... ok there is name of fief etc, but there is absolutly no data in the columns, which means it's empty of valuable data. So my question is still on "I thought it was to help other, in fact you want others to help you!?"
Anyway such document is useless if you don't put the selling price of each fief, for example i'll be upset if i go in Fisdnar which is far far away to see that selling price is 5 gold... even more useless as you just need eye candy to see distances.
-
yeah ur right about the fief prices, there should be a page with product prices too, where everyone can add their stuff.
and the eye candy thing is not necessary, but it's way more practical than hitting enter on a fief and then check the strat menu for the distance :D

I know what it does in eyecandy. What I meant: Why do I need this (empty) table, if I have all these data on the website with eyecandy already?
-
Excuse me, wtf is this.
-
Not shure but if u fill 2nd list with fief's coordinates its can be work
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ArQFr5D9x-NpdGtqekVjWG4zaF9VaE1Qc1dPUVhMbHc

This could be interresting with sell's price.
Anyway i'm sure that many clans have such table, even may be with a calcul of rentability, it could be cool that clans share this info with poor merchant like us...

What part of the document is open for everyone dont you understand?

I'm understanding clearly the document, it's the title of the thread that i don't understand : "Services"
So it's open to eveyone to provide his services?
-
Yes
-
Lol... I should make a new thread "Free money services"

LOL

But.. All the locations are in client side code, why does this need to be hand-crafted? :?
(Feel free to proceed of course, just seems like a lot of unnecessary work)
-
It's possible to download list of fief positions and coordinates from crpg directly and then use simple trigonometrics to calculate distance in pixels. I have no clue how many meters a pixel is, but that's probably somewhere too.
Edit: Espu beat me by a minute by the looks of it.

interesting, i guess this would be a better choice then.
are product prices also in this code?
-
thanks Espu for pointing out that this data is partly already there, i included it into the spreadsheat.
Now thanks to Vovkas example i should be able to complete this without anyone collecting this data by hand through eyecandy.
For what you will use this then is upto you, i myself will post soon another spreadsheet where you then will be able
to get calculations on sell prices, best selling fief of a faction, best production place of a faction and
list of villages with max trade bonus depending on defined origin. This then all hopefully pretty dynamic, we will see.

Works fine for me
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ArQFr5D9x-NpdGtqekVjWG4zaF9VaE1Qc1dPUVhMbHc
but be cool see it with Eyecandy :)

This is great, good job Vovka! :D
Now if we could only find a way to dynamically publish goods prices of the fiefs in the spreadsheet...
-
Vovka dunno i am running into problems with that match funtion, i do it with same syntax you use but it gives me back the overall marked cells out of the range not the specific id which should match to the fiefs name ... any tip?
EDIT: i tried with Fiefs!A2:B181
also with a defined managed range
over only one column and over several columns
i always get back 180, independently what village i give as matching criteria
-
can u send me a link to ur doc in pm :)
-
same link as in the first post, but it seems i get it to work now :) thanks anyways
you didn't define the Z axes, "+(E12-F12)^2"
this is for 3d hight and don't really need it atm?
-
yep it for strat in full 3D :P
-
Space Strategus!
-
interesting, so for elevated lands and stuff, nice 8-)
letz get a moonbase
-
something seems to be off on the calc.
where i am it says i should be from Jelbegi village to Tash Kulun village=63226 meters, but on Strategus it says 61777m and also Jelbegi Castle is actually a bit farther away than Jelbegi village(a couple ~100m over ), damn i better recheck the other places again or maybe you guys can figure out what went wrong on the formula in the spreadsheet?

the coordinates for village and castle were switched, thanks Bjarky

Anyone who wants to use this, open it, make a copy and then you can change it any time. This but is not editable as i want to use it as reference, so when it is updated, you can copy again the latest version.
-
You can get a lot of distances by going to a fief, then hitting the Towncenter tab.
-
distances are done by formular, that is included in the Trading spreadsheet too.
