To give independent players more of an incentive to play strat and make some money in it, I want to ease the way of trading strat gold with cRPG gold. See options above.

Nice, that actually may attract some players in strategus. I'd suggest 3rd option, why? Simply becouse there are some clans/players interested in buying strategus gold, if you'll allow everyone to convert it, no one will arse themself to take a risk and travel on the map just to make the transaction. That would kill the market, so if anyone wants to put his cRPG in strategus let him transfer it directly from his own account. I guess it can be exploited, but nothing comes to my mind at the moment.

Need it to go both ways on the start to crpg gold conversion. Would be really nice.

Well, that's not gonna happen - people flooding the strat market with cRPG gold would be somewhat gamebreaking, as hopefully everyone can see :P
-
Well then I like the idea of a marketplace as its already done right now with straw hats, would be nice to make it smoother.

great idea! this would definitely make non-clan players play.

Nothing I hate more than mixing CRPG economy and Strategus economy. I 100% prefer Strategus activity simply giving crpg-bonuses for your character alone (nothing game breaking for Strat), e.g. XP or Gold, titles and stuff like it that doesn't matter in essence. If this change is promoted the game will just get even more people who don't care about Strat to just sit and grind troops somewhere for then to sell them off to whatever faction, without caring at all about what is going on in Strategus. IMO: Strat = involvement, not afk = profit.
If small factions have a problem getting settled, then the number one problem is that the Map is so incredibly small now there's no room for anyone but the big alliances. Making the map bigger would allow smaller factions to do successful caravans for money to get started.
I would look to many other areas than this at least.

«The ability to transfer strat gold to cRPG gold 1:10»
This is already my exchange rate, so price will increase!

I dunno. I kinda prefer that it's totally separate. I smell serious future drama when someone leaves a clan with 200,000 strategus money (which I'm sure some people are sitting on that and more right now), converts it into 2,000,000 cRPG money and yuks it up on the forums.
Granted that does happen in EVE now and then.
Maybe what we need is a level of visibility. Create a "view transactions" permission which clan leaders can assign to clan ranks. You can then click on a clan member's profile and see their transaction log: money in, money out, where it came from, where it went to, and a timestamp.
That, at least, would let us keep tabs on our clan's cRPG cash stash.

Strat gold to cRPG gold I approve, to support solo players.
cRPG gold to Strat gold (via player trading too) should NOT NOT NOT be allowed. Buying Strat gold with shitloads of cRPG gold is fucking cheating.

agreed. The ability to buy strat gold just benefits the bigger clans as well as they can pool more crpg gold together and are generating crpg gold at a faster overall rate than a smaller clan

Everything that will attract more players in Strategus is good. +1

The ability to transfer strat gold to cRPG gold 1:10
What about cRPG currency reform? Revaluation and unification of cRPG and Strategus Gold? Just like in first Strategus. Don't you think that's too many millionaires in cRPG?

I voted for option two (market), but on further consideration I say option 1 is what I would pick.
Problems w/ market:
a) Clanmakes could transfer strat gold without having to be near each other within strat, destroying some of the logistical aspects of strat
b) Richer/established players would have a much larger strat advantage because they could buy gold more easily (granted there is still a market for this now, but streamlining the process would make it much more frequent I think).
I like the fact that the 1:10 conversion would remove the strat gold entirely, but would provide incentive for players to get involved in strat if not just to bolster their cRPG characters.

I voted for the Marketplace option, however, I think that the current ideas being tossed around in Selling > Srategus are pretty fun.
Prices change due to risk on there. Local Pickups people normally charge regular rate for, however if they have to travel it doubles, sometimes triples. I know if the Hospitaller Faction requested to purchase Strat gold with their location, someone would have to pass through FCC territory, and a lot of traders would make the option to not make the trip....though it would be fun to see the ones who would!

I think the option to play Strategus needs to be much clearer so more people can get involved, maybe something on the c-rpg.net front page or a tab in the character page area that takes you into Strategus.
On the siege server the other night I saw someone asking if they could get an invite to join strategus because they thought only clans had the link.

I like the idea maybe more people would play strat. :D
