I started some thief like character for who speed is of the utmost importance. I can take 3 slots of throwing daggers with me. Together they weigh 11.5 pounds which is too much for me. I wonder, if I finish throwing those 3 slots worth of throwing daggers will I be 11.5 pounds lighter? Or will I weigh the same as when I still had full ammo?

Since no one has replied yet.
My best guess is it's the same weight. Even if you use them all, they will still fill the slots - and, I think, still weight on your character.
-
I think so too. With my thief character my total weight without throwing weapons is like 7, I should notice the difference between 7 and 18.5 and I don't.
-
From my experience with 4 stacks of throwing axes, my char felt a lot faster when he had thrown everything.
Btw, this is my one month old gut feeling. We need to call ghostbusters WaltF4 for help on this matter.

It sounds like there would be glitches if the weight didn't go away. Such as the cases where you drop the throwing weapon when you only have 1 left, or equipping other equipment. You're lighter when your shield breaks, so..
-
Well. If ladders are anything to go by:
I was thinking of this thead when I played siege. Running with a ladder sheathed was slow, then equipped it and threw it and ran faster afterwards.
So if ladders, which are throwing weapons, is anything to go by; Yes. You become lighter when you run out of ammo.

Dropping items and expending all ammo for a thrown weapons reduces your weight by the amount the item weighed. I did not test if throwing some fraction of a stack reduces weight by that fraction, but i doubt it changes until all ammo is spent.

Allright thank you for the answer, sounds I can safely spam throwing weapons.

I just push X when I need speed and it seems to work.
