Not a fan of the Mail and Plate so I'll have to decline your offer.

Hi, i offer +3 military pick + 150K gold for +3 steel bolts, are you interested?

I have received two better offers so far so I will have to decline, sorry.

how much for hbs?

I am not quite sure yet if I want to trade it away as I like it quite a lot but if you offer me enough money (1.25m) or a good item (+3 throwing spears, for example) I would change my mind.

A very sought after armor (body armor heirlooms also improve leg armor) for a not very popular set of +3 gauntlets which are too heavy for archers to use.

At most I would add 50k but there is no way I would add any more.

I disagree with that, I used Lamellar gauntlets as an archer, and did quite well with them!

According to WaltF4 (and from my own experiences) you want to use lighter gauntlets as the WPF penalty they give is quite high.

Quote from: WaltF4
Required Throwing Proficiency for an Effective Power Throw Level = 13 * Desired Effective Power Throw Level + Throwing Armor Weight

where

Throwing Armor Weight = head armor weight * 6 + torso armor weight * 2 + leg armor weight * 2 + hand armor weight * 8 - 10

Isn't that for throwing? You said that gauntlets were too heavy for archers.

For what I've understood, the effective weight is the weights of
headarmor*3 + handarmor*2 + bodyarmor + legarmor.
And the wpf penalty starts running from 7.7 onwarnds.

I could be horribly wrong, but at least I'm giving you free bumbs :D

I don't think that archery WPF penalty works in a different way as both are quite similar (minimum amount of WPF required for one level of PT/PD) but I may be wrong too. The armor WPF penalty chart (can't find a better word) was changed several patches ago and I am 100 percent sure that the old formula you posted is heavily outdated.
