I'd like to see this implemented.
Or even a % for misfire when reloading the crossbow (sweaty fingers)
Why?
It'd be funny, and honestly, I'd go for the realism argument here. I bet it's happened irl.
So if you have low wpf, the chances of shooting yourself in the foot are higher, and you can manually shoot yourself in the foot. So aiming down castle walls will add some apprehension.
Honest to god, I think I'd use an xbow if this was implemented for real.

+1 :), also archers should be able to shoot their feeta s wella dn throwers should be able to shoot their crotch for the realism

What realism are you talking about? The bolt is loaded after you draw the xbow, there is no way anyone would ever shoot himself in the foot. Though it would be fun...

This could actually be somewhat useful. Stuck in the terrain somwhere and dont want to leave the game or get kicked? Shoot yourself in the foot a couple of times.

the mod has no need for that kind of stuff, also i doubt it's practical to code.
and the realism argument (you don't even show evidence for this happening in RL, just stating something dosn't make it true) is not needed when we talk about gamebalance.
if you want to nerf ranged people just say so :twisted:

You can use a weapon if you don't have enough strength, but every minute you roll a % of dropping the weapon on your foot, dealing 50% damage of an actual swing.

Polearm users who run should have a chance of tripping over their weapons and falling down.

Archers have a chance for their bows to break and dual wield them as melee weapons

anyone wearing a straw hat should have a 50% chance that it blows off in a gust of wind and they are dealt 200% damage due to their embarrassing baldness
this would increase the popularity of leather caps which are by far cooler.
