1. does anybody know what affect them? played with a spiked mace which have crushthrough, but not even once i was able to do that... that is funny regardless to my 21 str and 7 ps.. maybe because i had only 6 wpf in 2h... is this a reason or??
2. what do i need to improve so i have more chance block croushtrogh with my huscalar shield? i get crushed every single time, with shield skill 5

1. Weight has some kind of effect on crushthrough, spiked mace is one of the lightest weapons that has crush through so I suspect that is why you don't do it often.

I used to have the formula for crushthrough somewhere, it's fairly complicated. What I can say about it is this, most important is weight of the weapon you are using. Next is damage. The lighter your crushthrough weapon is, the more power strike you'll need to make it effective. WPF isn't in the formula but it does affect damage so it helps indirectly (somewhat). Finally, the weight of the enemies weapon affects their ability to block. So if they're using something heavy and you aren't, don't waste your time.
I don't know if knockdown follows a similar formula or not, my gut says no.

i just asked one guy whats his stats, and he told me 5 ps and 15 str.. isnt there only a chance of ct? and i get always ct when i try to block it
-
It is highly dependent on opposing weapon or shield weights the dev posted the blocking formula in the "why is everything getting balanced" thread
The formula for blocking with a pole or two hand is like weight plus a modifier times 120% afaik vs the crush weapon weight (not a perfect interpretation but close if I find that post I will transfer it over

Higher powerstrike, and therefore damage, gives you a higher chance to crush trough.
Weapon weight affects it heavily.
Opponents strength or powerstrike(?) actually matters, as far as I know.
-
Bonus of speed and holding attack to make it powerfull. But anyway I think spiked mace is not heavy enough to crush shields or heavy weapon.Only 1h weapon.
-
Correct, speed bonus and longer wind up also help indirectly since they increase damage, and damage is one of the two main factors for calculating crush-through.

When I had 13 ps, spiked mace never crushed through anything.
