Which do you guys prefer, and why? I'm leaning more towards the Long War Axe because of the higher damage and length, regardless of one less speed.

:DLong war axe! Does great used for a Gen loved it! Its alot faster then it seems and eats Shields and mobs like nothing. Its stab is a good unexpected and its frekin fun. Love it yeah I used it last gen FAVORITE POLAR BY FAR....

Long Axe Compared to Long War Axe. What you actually where wondering. Personally I prefer the Long War Axe. Long Axe has a spped and price advantage and its stab does cut cool and all but Long war axe has reach and damage. It all comes down to play style I perfer the reach and damage because again these are both small for Polearms and every reach counts. Again down to play style I used both and I perfer Long war axe by a mile but thats me. Try both but I perfer Long war axe.

Depends what build you have.
My build leans towards STR, so the 2 cut difference doesn't make much of a difference.
If you're used to a short weapon (like me with my bec), the Long axe will do you fine. LWA isn't much of a boost, in my personal opinion.
It's also cheaper by 3000g. So you'll be good with money.
Plus, if you like to horse around as a peasant like I do, the Long Axe stands out even less than a LWA

LOTS AND LOTS OF GAY PRON

Therefore you should play with Goedendag instead of those axes.

I used the Long Axe for a 13/27 build and my only complaint is the cut thrust damage.
