My old 32gb Zen X-Fi is kind of dead after taking a swim in a river, so i've been looking for a new one. Being a Creative fanboi, was hoping to get a X-Fi2, but these seem pretty much unavailable to buy online (ebay), with the 64gb variant completely missing and only one world-wide shipping offer for 32gb (with HUGE shipping costs + high price). Pretty much the same applies to X-Fi 32GB players.
So, can anyone recommend me some other good, high quality MP3 players? What i need is great sound quality + high capacity (32GB+).
-
Apploe Ipod Nano Touch 16gb costs about 179 euros.
Its an awesome thang.
-
Doesn't meet either of the requirements.
-
Believe me, it has great sound Quality. And if 16 gb isnt high capacity,...Well, your Decision :D

Great device. Its small and portable, has a very nice touch screen, has speakers, sound is very high quality, and you can put mp4 videos on it.
That aside its like a small computer in your hand. You can surf the interweb, play games, look at videos on youtube and look at por- .. Other things.
I have the 2nd generation which was the one released before this and I love it ^^ Had it for about 3 years now and it has never broke or let me down in any way.
-
Yeah, that ones pretty good aswell.Only problem is that its prett much the same size as a Iphone or other Smartphones, which makes it highly unpracticle for sportive activities.
-
Ok, if your looking for something a little more practical then maybe try one of these? I've never had/used one so I don't know what its like, but it looks alright.

Its smaller and by the looks of it thinner than an Ipod.

Please no iphone/ipod/other apple overpriced crap.
That Sony Walkman looks reasonable, though. Can't seem to find it on ebay, though :(

Only problem I can state with these is that sometimes the connection between the headphones and the IPod get damaged and you lose sound. I have been through two IPod Touch's, I currently have the latest generation, I don't know which one it is however but I have to say it's a good bit of kit, especially handy since you're able to set it up to connect to any Wifi device that you have the password to each time you come into range so you've got a bog-standard wifi connection that doesn't cost you more than if you were using it for a computer.
If you want music quality, I have to say that there are better ones out there and of course you'll always need a decent pair of headphones otherwise the sound won't be up to scratch but you'll probably always find that with whatever bit of kit you get.
Although there are options that allow you to customise the sound a bit, IE for base, treble, vocals etc etc.
If you want a good "pocket computer" this is pretty much your best bet, with the amount of apps you'll have loads of games, and lots of tools/software applications etc etc if you really want it, but if you're looking for JUST music, there are hellishly better products out there for less, but I don't know any because the IPod suits me fine!
-
Yeah, well, i'm not looking for a pocket computer. I am looking for just an mp3 player.
I am an audiophile, which is why i really do need 32GB+ capacity and which is why Apple's "great sound quality" isn't quite enough for me.

Creative MuVo Mix (with USB 2.0!). Best damn MP3 player I've ever had, it beats any other player in sound quality. It also endures anything. I'll use it till the end of time.

Iriver h340 was/is best mp3 player I ever had. But its too old, it was first ever mp3 player with color screen. Today I use mostly cell phone, cant be bothered to carry 20 gadgets with me.

Try Ebay. Or, i don't know, searching for an MP3 player. You'll be surprised. You could potentially buy a creative zen X-Fi with 32gb for that money or even less (not counting shipping), with an incomparable sound quality.
Apple sells overpriced crap.

I had about 10 MP3 Players in my Life, one of the was a creative(Although it was some years ago), and none had better sound than the Ipod Nano touch.Nor one looked so good and made so much fun using :P

Well, after reading a ton of reviews claiming Cowon is the shit and getting all hyped up, i went and bought this. (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cowon-32GB-MP3-Player-Colour/dp/B003O6904E/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1321379345&sr=8-2) Have a feeling i might just stop being a Creative fanboi...
