Title: UAM_Burundi unban request and evidence of AEF dictatorship

       I as an avid mount & blade war-band player for several months now was banned by AEF_HumV for being "racist" even though many other people on the server had used the word in question. witch is a variant of the Spanish word black in spanish meaning black(if we are not allowed to talk in Spanish or any other language other than English what are people who are from non-English speaking country's supposed to do with this game?). the other people who had used the word other than I during the same game were AEF_Dutchy and DirtyAlbert.  :cry: on top of this outrages case of AEF favouritism I was not given a warning by HumV witch is accustom before AEF bans.  :cry:

Obviously, hes spent too much time learning Spanish to focus on English, 'witch' would make sense.

Why try to shut the only AUS cRPG server down / get it disconnected? I mean isn't that the only thing that going to these particular forums would achieve?

Nice random screenshots too, which pretty have no context in all the ones I bothered to click on. Wheres some of me? I feel left out.

the thing is I have not received all the proper bans and warnings. that was even stated by HumV.

The word black in spanish means 'black' in Spanish and Portuguese, from the Latin niger, 'black', probably from a Proto-Indo-European root *nekw-, 'to be dark', akin to *nokw- 'night'. just to clear up the definition if anyone cares

Alright so, let's get this straight...

I believe this incident to be an example of clan bias, due to PK's previous reputation. Us PK's, have a very hard life, taking all the shots the admins dish out, and can't do anything in return without a ban being warranted. This wasn't as deserved as people commonly believe.

I quote from BigBird in response to Dutchy saying the N-bomb, as was the same as Red_Corsairs offence; "And i have words with him about using that word and it wont happen agian". I assume that this is his warning (step one of the punishment process), or is he somehow exempt from this as he wears the AEF_ tags? That's what I thought. This is completely unjust, as though he was not the only one to drop the N-bomb.

When Corsair used this language, it was not used in an offensive context, which can be shown as he never used it against any players in particular.

Besides, the N-word has lost it's racist touch I believe. It is now street language used commonly between two or more African-American people. And I believe a quote is necessary, mentioned by Samuel L. Jackson - "If a white guy said that word, you'd be ready to fight him wouldn't you? By using that word, it's teaching him... To use that word."

Now, in regards to Owens.

Word has just reached by ear, that LPK_Owens_III has been permanantly banned, for engaging in a duel tournament without registering. Is this such a crime? I would of thought it logical, to of kicked him, and passworded the duel server once all the combatants were inside. So, I believe this fault is partially your own. Owens usually abides by the rules, and has the occassional joke. Is that so wrong, considering they aren't offensive, or ill-natured?


Lastly, where were AEF_BigBirds warnings when he prolonged the round? MoTF was off, and bigbird used construction sites on stair-wells so he was unreachable. He maintained position until the timer ran out. When I enquired as to why, I quote: "so they lose their multi". What's that I hear? AEF_ tags, and immunity to the punishment system? I figured as much! This server really lacks a fair justice system, and it doesn't help, when the admins have a strong prejudice against many of the players within the community.


EDIT: Also, what really gets me... Is, why does the AEF_ believe in permanant bans, when we have such a fragile community as it is? Last night, we had 20 people on. That is the most I've seen in weeks. Not even the European servers believe in permanant bans. And they have 100+ on at one time. I am not saying this so we can 'troll' or whatever you guys call it without a punishment, because when I was banned for two-weeks previously, I hardly coped. LPK_ are manic cRPGers, and contribute immensely to the cRPG community within Australia.

Black Wind addressed some very valid points in his article. Perhaps, too valid, as I can relate to them directly as a victim to the AEF_ tyranny.

I understand that being admin is difficult, deciding when to act and when to allow things to play through can be difficult.


but I must say Red_Corsair can take things too far, he is but a child. A good percentage of LPK have alts that are african themed using deli caps,javelins, shortened spears and so on, it is important to realize that some people do get absorbed by their character's in a respect (the good thing about RPG's). I believe what we have here is a generaly friendly player getting a little carried away. He is new to the community and should be given some slack as he is not particularaly skilled or experienced.

A one day ban would have been more suitable. Punishment was deserved but a perma ban is a little harsh. We are relying on this new generation of players to keep cRPG alive in AUS.

Now, I KNOW that their own server rules and global rules prohibit abuse, and this isn't the first time HatsuneMiku has called me that name (see two posts above this). AEF claim to have integrity in their stewardship of the server, and hold themselves to a high standard. As such I'd accept a sincere apology from the admin, as well as cessation of the abuse. Anything less will obviously require further action, resulting in potential smackmeown.

Alright, I apologize Mordaunt, for the written abuse I've put you through - completely unprofessional of me.
With all the recent events of certain players making it their agenda to give us trouble, it's been nothing but headaches.

That said however, I'm going to ask that if at some point an incident similar to this ever arises again that rather than approaching us with impatience and hostility, you have the option of sending any of the admins of our server a private message with the incident or posting in the appropriate thread about it so that we can investigate it at a point when we're able to.
