Post by: Anal Bleeding on November 04, 2011, 06:08:05 am
A crappy mouse has only 2 buttons.
Gaming mouses have macros with 7 buttons.

I don't really see what macros are going to do for you in this game. Chat spamming is the only practical application I can see here for a macro.

I used it for autoconnect to dtv-servers, voice commands etc.

Even created macro for feints :)

So say you're macro feinting, what happens if someone attacks whilst it's going on? You can't block. I've heard some stories about uber macro feints, but what that video shows would just be a downgrade from regular feinting.

just macro blocks in each direction, then you don't have to change mouse direction to block.
feints would be hard to use macros for i would think

This is helpful how? Maybe it might be kinda good if you had a mouse that had 4 button right in the middle of it and they were placed so that they're easily accessible and in an order that makes sense (button that's in the centre middle is up block, left button for left block etc)... but I haven't seen any mouse like that. And it'd have to be a big and unwieldy mouse.

How would you want to prevent this? There are also keyboards with a lot of macro keys. I'm searching for one too, as I would like to program some of the commands (whistle, cav from right...) for easier access. Though I wouldn't use it for blocking/feinting and such. Also I could need it, because I suck big times

A strategic commander might be good - never bothered to try and probably have no drivers for it.

Dear kind Sir,
most recently I found two new ways of working with my mouse. Now I can sidescroll on google maps by pushing my mouse wheel left and right. What a jolly good' laugh I had!

Seeing as how there is no way to police it, its certainly allowed

I guess it would help against some new players who have no clue of blocking anyway. Against everyone with just a little bit of skill and/or experience this would be a really good laugh. :)

Bind whistle to mouse 4 and then spam it when dueling, might just work...

Am I the only one who use them for the SP commands? Or are all of you playing MP only?

Probably, I have played my share of singleplayer in the original Mount & Blade, have been playing the Last Days for a few days now. Somewhere in May I played Prophesy of Pendor for about 50 hours or so. But singleplayer only lasts till you're bored with your current mod, with the point of boredom arriving increasingly fast after every new mod.

This used to be worse in Warband beta where there was no turn cap. A guy could spin constantly and block attacks from all directions with a shield o.O

Having better gaming hardware than other people is perfectly acceptable.  Stop being a poor chump and upgrade your shit.

My total SP playtime is 30 min. After 10 min my game crashes.
I blame vista.

Cool. Just add loomed steel shield (low chance to crushtrough) and 13 shield skill...

Still think that skill level cap at 10 was reasonable for MP.
