Title: Petition to Ban horse archers from NA Server 1

It has come to my attention that horse archers ruin this game by just trotting at a speed you can't catch and getting direct hits every time. The bow and crossbow need to be nerf'd. When there is no margin of error in long range shots, the weapon needs a review. I have been killed far too many times fighting people legit. These archers just sit way far away and get one shot kills from their spawn. It's just not realistic in any way. It reminds me of the DOD exploit with the Thompson gun. There needs to be a margin of natural error in a draw of a bow. There should never be a perfect cross hair like so many have, no matter what the skill. The last 20 deaths have been from an arrow to the head from far far away while I'm moving and fighting. This is not just a coincidence. The game is being ruined by these people who never grew out of noobhood.

What are you talking about??? Ranged is completely worthless and if you think otherwise GET A SHIELD NOOB

If anything range needs a buff, i can take like 8 arrows in 60 armor 6 IF easy and still live. Arrows do like 0 dmg to me and xbows are a non issue l2 sidestep tard.

I suggest making all arrows pierce and increasing damadge on all arrows/bows/xbows.

How did the medieval battlefield look like? It was 2 armies shooting eacheother and they all died from 1-2 shots, do your research before you post stupidness like this

Ofcourse it does, this game is a medieval battle simulator and thats what medieval battles are, not some midless swinging from 2h/poletards. Deal with it, it was shielders and archers who fought

No, not really. Archers didn't really cause that many casualties in medieval battles nor were they as important as you make them sound.

ha's rarely hit but they do too much damage atm

just like every other archer, thanks to godlike range heirloom and pierce damage.  :lol:

BAN HA's but LEAVE HC's and HT. Those are the REAL mens ranged weapons to use from horseback. Archers should stay on foot and be fodder for cavalry. Also carrying 2h weapons should give you a  +20% damage taken from ranged weapons while shields take no damage from arrows.

This is true, only because back then people generaly had shields. They wouldn't run around without a shield or good plate armor, because getting shot by an arrow in the chest is usualy fatal, even if it doesn't kill you outright. Unfortunately this fact still doesn't translate properly into CRPg.

you quickly forget the sacrifices these players make to play HA
their skills are a joke ( not the player, the character) (usually).
then again i play board so i could care less.
being headshotted from across the map blows, but it happens from time to time.  if it happens every round, you probably suck.

You just started, but you think you've got it all figured out, yeah? Have you tried Horse Archer in cRPG yet? It's nothing like single-player or even Native. Getting a tight reticule while moving beyond a walk is just not doable, which leaves the HA as a priority target for other ranged. If they are still alive after 1 minute of approaching the infantry (cav on cav violence is a whole 'nother story), then you need to chew your ranged out, not blame the horse archer.

Yes it feels like getting cheap-shot when you die to HA, yes nobody likes them, but try thinking up ways to make THEM rage, instead of raging yourself.

uhm i barely take 4 bodkin to the chest shoot by Cheapshot's hornbow and usually 2 jarids with 7PT are more than enough to take me down. all this with 72 armor and 8IF (80ish HP).
and yes an arbalest steel bolt brings me down to 10%.

i'm not complaining about ranged. it is nicely balanced... is just what you stated that's a bit weird. unless you speak of very very long range shots with crappy stock arrows and no heirloomed bows.

i agree here. while i really fear xbows/longbows on foot, i don't feel so panicked when a enemy horse archer come to support his teammates. i really sh*t in my pants if while i'm charging, i see a big size xbow/bow aiming at me.
