I'm lookin' to try out dedicated cavalry. I don't care about being effective on foot.
What are you guys' thoughts on what a good build for this would be? Also, which horse would be better for dedicated cavalry on battle?
Warhorse or Large Warhorse?
-
everything depends on 1h vs lance
-
Ah, sorry. I meant for a lance build.

Courser is definitely the way to go for lancers. Shield is important for cav, it will save you and your horse ALOT. 3 skill lets you use Kite shields which are good for covering your feet.
For your armored horse, I see more successful lancers on Cata's though over large warhorse. Catas have a smaller profile and thus harder to hit by enemies.
WPF gives you extra damage, meaning more 1 shot kills instead of just heavily wounding people.

Why courser over a cata?
-
speed = damage
very significant especially if you use a slow weapon such as heavy lance
-
Don't listen to them, I use a Champion Cataphract to lance and it is MUCH better than a courser and probably OP because of how good it is. A Champion Warhorse (Not large, it's model is too big to lance effectively from) would be even better but sadly I don't have one of them and not many people do.
Level 30 (4 420 577 xp)
* Strength: 21
* Agility: 18
* Hit points: 68
* Skills to attributes: 8
* Ironflesh: 6
* Power Strike: 7
* Shield: 4
* Riding: 6
* Polearm: 111
Riding got a bit of a nerf last patch (Or atleast it feels like it did) so I don't go so high riding anymore, 6 seems enough. With 7PS and a MW Heavy Lance I can 2shot most people and sometimes 1shot light armoured ones. 4Shield skill for an Elite Cavalry Shield which is the best cavalry shield because of it's large forcefield. Ironflesh is always good especially when you consider all you lose for it is WM which I find completely useless for cavalry and mostly useless for infantry.

You can buy a +3 arab horse extremely cheap and begin flying around the battlefield. That's what I do and it works quite well.
