Title: No Village Control
Post by: Canary on November 03, 2011, 02:31:26 am
It would seem as though I have no control over the ownership of my fief(s). I can not change ownership of the one I own (and am capable of transferring things out of, and which lists me as the owner of when I join a server), and on my Strat character page it doesn't even show me the other fief my faction is in control of. As the highest ranked member of my faction this is rather perturbing.

Was the system for fief ownership changed since Strat 2?

aye. seems that individual members of factions are in direct and sole control of fiefs taken by that faction. It really sucks for socialist clans like FCC ;{

I remember something from a couple of months back where the system was going to change to something where only the actual fief owner can give up their ownership to somebody else and that there would be a 7 day cooldown on it as well.  Not sure on the exact details but I think it was meant to add more importance to owning fiefs and also stop them being tranferred around all the time so that the fief owner could always be online.  I guess it is either bugged or has not been fully implemented yet.

Considering these interesting news I, Lord dynamike of Tebandra, contemplate open revolution against the dictatorbirdship of the so called evil overlord Canaringo_of_Chaos.

I mean... what's he gonna do about it? Take my village away?

I like how choosing a fief owner has become more important, but I suppose having some way to change it would be nice (not that I'll ever press that button!).

I would like to hear from someone in charge what the intended procedure is to allow another member of my faction become the owner of one of our fiefs.

You must have other you trust in your clan? The idea is to get people on to do things rather than you do all of the fief tasks?

That's not it VVarlord. Right now, if one of our village owners had to go on vacation, we'd have to attack ourselves to transfer ownership, which is technically an infraction of the rules. Also, say... Canary and I wanted to switch villages because he wanted to be near Reyvadin and I wanted a snow-village. We'd have to attack each other. When you click the transfer ownership bar, nothing shows up. Kind of annoying.

Ahh fair enough maybe a system should be added like the last one where you can switch owners but theres a large cool down on changing it back? And one person can only have one fief.

So if a fief owner becomes inactive (skyrim), the only way ownership can be given to his clan members, whose name the village is under, is by attacking your own fief??  This is so ridiculously cumbersome.  Just make it soemthing like choosing a capital where you have tow ait 7 days to transfer ownership again and rank 10s can actually see the equipment, troops, and gold that is sitting in these places that we own as a faction.

If u don't want forced ownership change, then maybe facility when you can make request of ownership change and current owenr need to confirm it, would work a lot better. And limit to 1 per week or so.

I like the idea of only being able to transfer ownership once a week.  And I also like the idea of only the fief owner being able to transfer ownership (not the faction leaders).  That being said, can fief owners transfer fiefs to another person if they wanted, or would someone still have to attack it to get ownership?

This is really stupid, the old system worked fine.  What the fuck is the point of being rank 10 now?

How about not being able to transfer a fief unless both the current owner and the soon-to-owner are both inside the fief?
Ofc, this tread is about reporting this bug and sharing opinions about it, not to actually find a solution for it :D

that's actually how it's supposed to be - The owner has to be in the fief if he wants to give it away. If the other one must be there too, no idea. Could be it's bugged.

Currently inside the fief I own and the selection box to choose who I would transfer ownership  to does not actually drop down with any options. It's empty, in other words.

I'm assuming there are people in the village that are part of your faction?  Is there anyone else with rank 10 in the village (or whatever is necessary to own a village)?  That would at least give some more info for chadz.

yeah i have a drop down box in bhulaban, but no names show up, even though there is another rank 10 FCC player in the fief.

yeah, seriously, half our faction is rank 10, the other half rank 5.  Most of the old fief powers are gone so its not what it used to be.

Also, Dynamike, do you want a fief??  You should come join us. :) (jk)
