Title: why did you make strat less fun

most of the fun in strat is battling and helping your clan take territory, now even the larger clans struggle to get enough troops and gold together to attack even a village. at this rate it will be months and months before anyone goes after a castle or an actual war happens. your stated goal for this iteration of strat was to make it more interesting to be a regular player and you did the exact opposite, before at least i had battles to fight and places to move into, now i just sit in a fief grinding out well-bred sheep. i haven't even moved from the fief i'm in since i got here i think 3 weeks ago now

I think the solution for this would be buffing ranged

I crafted 10 deadly steel picks.

I sold 2 of them, and they went away, but I didn't get any gold.

Now I have 8 deadly steel picks.  I don't know what to do with them.

Trade goods -> Caravans -> Bandits -> Lots of small battles = Lots of fun!

Had one of the most awesome fights ever in the Mighty Leiknir vs JLeman fight, shame we lost.

Try out the smaller bandit/raiding battles for fun, you might be surprised.

Crafting items to sell the to villages is the worst way to make money.(you dont get shit for them).

Try crafting items and selling them to players. Players would need the masterwork weapons and pay for them.

I actually think this strat is alot more fun and involving for me as a clan member. Last time all I did was sit and pump troops. Now I move around to sell goods(dodging potential bandits), maintain a personal army for protection(as well as if some neutral wanders into my range to sack him :D), and have an active role in moving goods for the Clan.

You are not supposed to take them yet. They will be updated with appropiate numbers in some time.
