What happens to MW items if they get damaged and you don't auto repair them? In their lowest state, are they in par, or just slightly worse than their non-masterworked state? Or just plain horrible?
No more upkeep yaaa

Last I checked, any item in its lowest state can not be used in-game. They're generally called "Unusable" or "Crude".

For what I've understood a mw weapon is at stage +3. Once it gets damaged it goes down to +2, then +1 and finally to stage 0. At stage 0 it's like a normal weapon without any heirlooms. From there it can get damaged to stages -1, -2 and -3. In the end you won't be able to use it at all before you repair it. From there you can repair by paying the repair bills, each repair will take it stage upwards.

Ah thanks guys good explanations. Not really worth bothering with auto-repair then if it just becomes unusable since repairs occur every other round.

Why do you think it is not worth using auto repair? You went threw the trouble of looming stuff, why have it downgraded? In fact, you want all your gear, even nonloomed stuff to be in tip top shape I would think.

What are you using that is so hard to keep repaired?

Oh I meant that I would just keep it on, and that I wouldn't tinker around with manual repairs. But yeah, I thought that compeltely broken MW items would just still be usable and not THAT bad (but then no upkeep).
I don't have any problem with upkeep since I have around 400k, but was just thinking.
