I'm suggesting that weapons that get a bonus against shields (mostly axes) also get a damage boost when attacking doors, ladders, and other constructions.
Maybe not as much of a bonus? Maybe something else? I leave that up to the balancing team and the rest of you. I'm just polling public opinion of this general idea.

I say slightly increase the HP on things like Ladders and such, then give axes the bonus.

only pure axes should get bonus, not poleaxes or bardiches

Thats an interesting suggestion...

yep. bardiche blade is much too long and would get stuck in the wood easily. poleaxe heads are too small and not enough weight, however german poleaxe could go either way.
other axes are very clearly wedge shaped, which is what it takes to chop into wood.
and of course, no bonus for the morning star :P

"bonus against shields" gives a bonus against constructions too, although the bonus is smaller.

50%, 25%, 10%? what are we talking here

I am assuming small since my Poleaxe is not noticeably more deadly then my Danish against those targets... Or I am hitting them too close, dunno.

100% vs shields, 10% vs constructions.
