So slow.
88 speed.
Same cut as a great axe, with a puny polearm thrust to make it almost interesting.
Perhaps lower the cut, but really needs a speed boost - I suggest 92 speed.
-
because its a very low end weapon with high dmg, slow speed is the balance
also you can use it from horseback to make some devastating clotheslines
-
Then really it's redemeeing feature is useable from horseback - ok that makes sense now.
There are better choices for low end axes for infantry.
Time to request a shortened elegant poleaxe then.
-
EDIT: posted in wrong thread.
Yeah, buff the War Axe and 2H axes/bardiches.
-
War Axe is already good...
3 points longer then battle axe
have thrust
2 more damage then battle axe
So.. It is balanced and great weapon for archers, it do not need any buff, especially this one that you said - speed.

That's why the battlefield is littered with these? I've seen ONE, and it was mine.

Well, it's a low end weapon. There are just too many weapons to make every weapon viable on any level. It seems well balanced if you compare it to other low-end axes.
-
I'd never use except for luls. The bonus of a poke is offset by the snail like pace at which it travels. So by balanced I guess you mean 'another pos' nobody uses.
-
Its a weapon for someone low level, of course its going to be bad.

I wouldn't quite put it that way, but essentially, yes. It's a weapon someone might use when he can not yet use better weapons, either because of cost or STR requirement. So yeah, it's basically useless, if you ignore the "from horseback" niche.
