Title: [PRICE] Change Torch cost from 294 gold to 29
Post by: Dehitay on October 23, 2011, 06:04:47 am: I'm pretty sure everybody can quickly realize that the torch is completely inferior to the Cudgel, yet it's over 10 times the price. I want to make the Torch cheap like the Cudgel is. After all, it's nothing more than buying a Cudgel and lighting it on fire so why not only make it 6 gold more.

Then I can actually afford to make a cheap ass army of peasants with torches and pitchforks. Why go broke to live up to the cliche? Do it for the sake of comedy!

Post by: Joelturuz on October 23, 2011, 12:59:42 pm: Seeing as torch can't be sheathed, has 3 less damage and 4 less speed, I definitely agree. Not to mention it makes you a glowing bullseye in the night.

Nah, that wouldn't be cool enough. INSTEAD make it do 100000x more damage to destuctible objects like doors, ladders and c-sites! It's unsheathable and next to useless in combat, so why the fuck not? :D

This isn't about buying it for your crpg character. I could care less about the price for that. This is about Strategus. For Strategus, the price makes getting torches incredibly painful because of the high cost. Torches should be even easier to get than cudgels for Strat. Torch and pitchfork villagers is one of the most delicious cliches yet it's hard to pull off because it's expensive.
