Title: STF Thrower
Post by: Dishonorable_Rogue on October 22, 2011, 04:08:48 pm
Anyone got any builds? I want one which is dedicated thrower that completely demolishes with whatever throwing weapon i'm using.

My current STF character is running a 24/18 build with 3 ath 8 pt and 6wm all wpf into throwing. I just run around practically naked and seem pretty fast for 3 ath. Although I'm sure with 150 wpf you can wear some medium-ish armor and still have enough wpf. Then just find whatever throwing weapon suits you, personally I use heavy throwing axes.

3 athletics is a death sentence for thrower.  besides melee & cav being able to easily catch you, you are even an easier target for ranged characters.

ZULU SKIRMISHER

·   Strength: 21
·   Agility: 18
·   Hit points: 58
·   Skills to attributes: 8
·   Ironflesh: 1
·   Power Strike: 4
·   Shield: 0
·   Athletics: 6
·   Riding: 0
·   Horse Archery: 0
·   Power Draw: 0
·   Power Throw: 7
·   Weapon Master: 5
·   Polearm: 75
·       Throwing: 134

Remember with throwing, skimp on your gloves, glove weight is the biggest detractor of throwing WPF.

Mix your ammo up depending on how much armor enemy is bringing.  Axes/daggers against mail and below, jarrids/javs/spears/lances against anything in heavy armor.

With high PT & WPF, jarrids are blazingly fast and very easy to hit with, they'll typically 1 shot anyone thats in medium armor or taken any battle dmg already.

Do not underestimate how much dmg you can cause with daggers or snowflakes, they're great when enemy is fielding alot of bitch kiter archers.

weight of the gloves affects throwing WPF more than other armor (x8 more), so yes, leather gloves or very light ones are recommended.

I went:

Lvl: 30
Str: 18
Agi: 18

PS: 6
Ath: 4
PT: 6
WM: 7

1h: 96
Throw: 146

Worked out pretty well from time to time with heavy throwing axes and I just stayed away from the heaviest armor. The heaviest I used was green rus lamellar, scale guantlets, and a klappiviser.

Someone was saying helm is 6x

So you can actually wear some medium chest and boots with a light or no helm/gloves
