Title: Archer Crosshair inaccurate in 3rd Person.
Post by: Camaris on February 04, 2011, 10:15:20 am
I tried an Archer and i discovered that the crosshair is to high if you are in 3rd person view and only correct if you are in first person. (about 0.5cm-1cm).
Dont know if that is working as intended to force Archers in 1.Person or if this bug is known and if there already are some fixes to it.

I don't think there is any other fix for it than using 1st person or adjusting your aim accordingly. This is a Warband "bug", not cRPG and I doubt there is anything else that can nor should be done about it.

Yeah no problem so far it works quite good in 1. person ;-)

So that explains why if i aim slightly over the head of someone, i will miss ? I didn't know what to blame, i had the crosshair sometimes directly pointed at a relatively near target, fire and then miss. 1st person it is then. Also you cannot express the error in lenght, but it's an angle. The length becomes greater with the distance of the target.

You get used to it.  Really.  In 3rd person I only use the dots to see how large of a spread for error I have in the arrows flight path, other than that I use the little circle made by the lines below the x-hair and it works great.  I'll try to get a s-shot to illustrate.
