Title: more metal, blood mod. anyone use these?

More metal
Blood mod
Innovative mod

Does anyone use these mods? Id love to add some extra sounds, music, polished equiptment but i was just checking to see how happy people are with these mods.

I have tried using more metal sound mod in MP (Native and cRPG). And I uninstalled it  :mrgreen:
It works in single player though.

Every battle turns into :

-aargh !
-eeaargh !
-cling !
-bang !

The female agony sound is the worst.

Try the more metal sounds you´ll see the difference, and if you dont like some sounds just change them :P

I have a version of the blood mod installed. I don't find it that great. The splashes are a bit wierd, I think. I was hoping for more blood on people rather than the actual spray but nothing does that as far as I know.

The more metal one is ok but you definitely need to delete the woman sounds. Its so jarring and seems to happen every 10 seconds. Sounds like a rape fest.

more metal sound is a must have! just replace the female sounds by male sounds ^^

I also use realistic colors and taller gras

Yep. Once MoreMetalSound runs without scriptErrors and constant yelling it simply is AWESOME.

Realistic colors is a must too imho.

I used to use the more metal sounds until people stopped updating the .txt

A little surprised to see someone actually updated it, guess that means I can start using it again =p

As for the female sounds I edited it down so it's more of an exertion sound than an "NNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGG *plop*"

woman_yell.ogg There are 2 of them I believe. There's a link on the first page to 2 soundfiles that overwrite these with silence.

native sounds like nerf weapons, more metal actually sounds like real battle...cant play without it

More metal sounds vastly improves the gameplay. I cant play without it, these problems you mentioned are easily fixed just by updating the sounds.txt after a patch that changes sounds.

Only problem I have with the metal sounds is that it removes the "end of round" sounds, which I like since I am often alt tabed.

Anyone know how to bring them back?

The newest fix should include those. I'm using it and have the end of round sounds.
