Could care less for Linux and nerds being extra sad about this. But he was still a human being.

oh wow, do you know how arrogant, stupid and general unkwoledge you sound like?
Without him, you wouldn't have your precious little ''Ios'' or google, or anything to be honest, and all you can think of is to insult him based on one of his (great) creations?

Huh? C was invented a decade before DOS and it has nothing to do with DOS v. Windows. Ritchie invented C, which most major contemporary languages are based off of, including C++, Java, and C#. He also contributed to the Unix OS. So far as I know he had nothing to do with DOS or Windows outside of influence.

Influence can do wonders (Everything and every major political figure uses it, you might not notice it.)

But most stuff on windows uses C++, What I'm basically saying but said it wrong (Basically I was wrong and I'm trying to sound like I worded it wrong :P) is you would have quite simple games, or no games at all without him.

Where with steve jobs, without him you wouldn't have expensive, good lucking and shiny peices of (crap) plastic/metal.
