While this suggestion is not that bad and would surely help to lower delaying, you now have (at least) two people who are against it.
Autobalancer still fails incredibly often, and often enough we have 5:0 or 5:1 maps where the winning team won everyround with more than twenty survivors (so it was nowhere close).
It's frustrating enough to be in the other team and still seeing your teammates charge headlong into the meat grinder, although they should KNOW this won't help anything, as the other team has the higher average skill.
If you introduce some kind of "King of the Hill", there will be only one place on the map, where the battle can be fought, and thus rendering a lot of possibilities for teamplay and tactics completely useless, as you can't take advantage of a certain house, hill or ruin that's a bit off on the map. The game would be reduced to pure reflexes, no brain usage and thus no soul, at least for my understanding of fun.
That's why I am against the suggestion.
I wouldn't be against it if it didn't replace, but simply complement (?) battle mode. But if you get a mode that's almost exclusively about skill, I want a mode that's about tactics.
What I would like to see is some kind of "domination" mode.
An uneven number of flags is placed over the map (I think 5 would be enough), and everyteam starts with a certain amount of control points. In this mode you can spawn several times.
The devs already made it possible that the equipment menu always pops up when the round is over, so they can also make a "spawn menu" pop up every time you are about to spawn.
You can spawn at every flag your team controls. If your team controls the majority of all flags, the enemy starts losing control points. The bigger the difference between the controlled flags, the faster you lose control points. If your points go to 0 or you don't have any flags and players left on the field, you lose. If you have no flags on the field, you can't spawn, and you have to hope that the teammates who are still alive will capture a flag for you.
This mode is less about skill and killing, it's about clever tactics. But I bet with the average cRPG-lemming-player it will be incredibly frustrating to play :?
