So we know that alts earn gold for mains in Strategus.
How about "All Thine Hard Work"? Can alts get this message and the ability goes to your main?
I am all about the Campaign To Let Us Play Alts Without Crippling Ourselves in Strategus.

ive had the message on alts but never on my main despite putting waaaaaaaaaaaaay more time into my main. and no i cant craft anything at all...

Me too, played alot more on main, never got the message on main only on my alts so i can't craft anything.

Does anyone know what its likely hood of coming up is? I think I have had it a number of times on my main. How does one check what one can craft? Do you just go to a town and hit craft? Or do you have to be in a castle to craft weapons?

That would be nice, but I'm still wondering how the system works.
When you get the message do you learn how to make everything you have equipped, a random chance for each one individually or just one item? Is there any way to see what your smithing skill is or to see what you can craft without going to a village? If not, it would be a nice addition.

iirc, whenever you get the message, every item you have equipped gets +3%, while every item you don't have equipped gets -1% with a floor at 0%.
ex.
1st message w/ straw hat and longsword equipped => straw hat 3%, longsword 3%
2nd message w/ straw hat and bastard sword equipped => straw hat 6%, longsword 2%, bastard sword 3%
3rd message w/ straw hat and torch equipped => straw hat 9%, longsword 1%, bastard sword 2%, torch 3%

I guess that could screw things up if you used alts.

We need to be able to play alts without harming our Strategus play, in my opinion. I like my shielder but I'm not sure I want to be locked into that for all time -- playing my archer alt will be wasted "Hard Work" and speccing my main to archer will ruin my built up Hard Work on shielder stuff.
Arguably, I guess, crafters will be those dedicated few who wear the same thing day in and day out, whom other people look upon with disdain, until they need some cheap gear, anyway. I just hate having to choose between "doing the fun thing" (alts) and "doing the best thing" (1 guy with 1 set of gear that he wears all the time).

What does this "Thine hard work" do anyway? I've gotten it allot on my main maybe around 10 times, and maybe 1 on my alt, if i remember right. I even got a "Thine hard work" yesterday

I got it twice in three days while lvl 30. I got 12% on my whole gear set whoop!

It's for strategus. See Rubicon's message in this thread. In short, though, when you see that message, your ability to craft the items you are wearing in Strategus just got better. To run with Rubicon's example, if you got that message 3 times while wearing a straw hat, then you can craft straw hats in Strategus with a 9% price discount and a chance to produce up to 9 per turn.
