Title: How to join faction when both of you are in the same town?

You can just have the person already in the faction leave the town for a split second while you join. However, if they're not online, you're essentially screwed till they show (unless you can get the person who owns the fief to kick them out).

it seemed to me like you entering a village took an extra hour or two.  Even when directly ontop of the village when I go to enter it took 2 hours.

Can someone post if this is true if you pop out, can you just pop right back in, or will it take time to get back in after leaving?

yeah, what happens is you have to be at the exact coordinate to enter a village. Even if you're on top of it, chances are you're not on that coordinate. So when you click to enter, your character actually moves to that coordinate before going inside. However, once you pop outside, you're already on that coordinate so you can just go back inside right away
