Title: Teams are not fair to justify a multiplier bug.
Post by: Earthdforce on February 01, 2011, 10:57:07 pm
Now, I want you to look at the enemy team numbers in this picture..

(click to show/hide)

In case you can't read that, it says -1566789152.

This sounds like a bug to me, am I right? Oh, and beneath that you'll see me complaining like I tend to do :D

I guess you had a really bad player on your team

I wasn't playing at that time, so I doubt it's that.

Yea, sometimes it is bugged but very rare, had it once that after autobalance it was 3 vs ~60 players on siege.

Just a note here - I've seen that on NA servers but (IIRC) never on EU servers.

hmm, I think if there are less than 15 player on the server you dont get a multiplier

Sometime even in "equal" teams - one of them (in one round) playing just perfect, while other doing nothing.
In this case also appear this warning message.

Had this happen last night in a siege battle. We had 2 really good players and the enemy had a balance of good players, we still defended our castle yet the teams were not fair enough to justify a multi. Oh and nobody got "autobalanced" either after the round. It was around 50 vs 50 as well.

IMHO it was because of "weight" of each player calculating in "long run". I.e. 1-2 excellent round played by some players does not really affect their "weight" for balance system.
BUT - in each round end calculating "current battles balance", what include not only total "weight" of all players but also dmg dealt by each player or how many kills did all players... (not clearly know it)...
And in this case because of excellent behavior of team members - result of the battle can be named as "unfair".
But it doesn't mean what team balance is wrong.
Just one team playing MORE teamplay, MORE accurate, MORE lucky (much more) e.t.c.

IMHO.

I play on NA servers and I experienced this bug twice on the siege server.
Screens are provided.
First time I've seen this bug:

Second time:
First round after "Autobalance":

End of round:

Second round:

End of the second round:

As you can see, "teams are not fair" message did not appear for me for the second time, and my multiplier increased after each round.
