Title: naked shielder

why do i kicked for being naked when i use shield+weapon?

i dont need amor when i have a shield and using it just slows me down.

But still i get kicked? bad rules tbh.

They don't accept nudity in public, get some cloth and then it will be ok I think...

no, actually as long as you have a weapon no one should kick or ban you.

1. a ninja would NEVER EVER use a shield!

and yes, i'm on my spartan/shielder alt, where i was using shield+1h and got kicked for it.
actually, admin first told me to wear an armor, i explained that i just used my shield, then he kicked  me the round after

I normally run naked until level 25ish or until I can afford something good.  Why waste the upkeep on something that you'll get marginal use out of?

Banning for being naked is stupid, but Spartans never fought naked... to be historical, they looked a bit like this.

Now for real naked fighters, they'd look more like the Spartans shown in 300, massive shields, spears and short swords...

i know, but 300 style is mroe awesome (and sometimes i just go buckler and side sword for the speed :D)

Which admin was it? Did you talk to him? Explain that you had a weapon out and were you engaged in battle?

Were you hiding/far from the action? If you are trying to flank or something, say so, make it clear that you just play a naked build and are still contributing to the game, and not trying to leech. AFAIK nudity is allowed on all servers as long as you are in the fight and not leeching.

Anyway, as a Spartan you should be at least wearing a Barbutte helm, some sort of boots, and holding a spear, sword and shield. That should be visual enough to indicate that you are not leeching, just choosing to use different gear.

Look for some real evidence, not computer game crap like medieval series.

please, oh please don't ask him to look for real sources and then use WIKIPEDIA as an example... noone will take you seriously.
I don't mind people using wikipedia, but when you're actually blaming another person for having bad sources, you cant use wikipedia yourself. You just cant.

Those paintings on the amphoras weren't suppose to show their awesomeness like fighting naked, they were suppose to show the future generations how tiny cocks their ancestors had.  :wink:

I never kick people as long they have a weapon and are actually playing.

I hope other admins will share this point of view. Even a wooden stick + peasant clothes can be lethal (Urist...).
