meh.
I've been on maps with construction spam. Sometimes defenders win, sometimes attackers.
I think defense needs a boost...since rendom ppl defending RARELY defend the flag or the choke points that need defending to win the map. On the other hand, attackers that don't know what they are doing will still generally go towards the flag.
Totally depends on the map though.

just make consite bannable on all servers.
Boom! The only way to then "ladder spam" is by dieing and that makes life hard for defenders with there 30 sec respawn.

Construction spam really ruined siege gameplay. Last couple days only thing I do as a attacker is try to crush thru barricade. chadz do something about this.

I like it, as too many maps favour attackers, or have massive doors not gates and are thus vulnerable to the first round hp bug, and the construction spam helps counter this.

1. Before Fasader change number of slots from 120 to 80 on EU_2, EU_5 most of time was empty.
2. About CS and ladders. When I started play cRPG i saw on siege server that most people use this crap, so i thought that this is normal for this mod. Personally I don't use this anymore. After last patch I don't play week maybe two. And after I return I saw more and bigger barricades. And not only Greys, so get the fuck off.
The most important here is weapon rack. I'm not saying that barricades are good, but devs give this to all players. Everyone can use this, so it is a part of game. Until devs say this is bad, I will treat this like a part of this mod.

Spamming ladders to block entrances is not an intended use of ladders.
My guess is this will either become bannable or impossible pretty soon.

Personally I would like a lowering of c-site health and the introduction of a Barricade.
What, clans are spamming barricades to defend a castle? Well that's what a barricade is FOR! Rawr!
Spamming c-site just looks silly.

Had a quick talk with some of the devs. Probably gonna get fixed.
For now, using ladders to block entrances on siege is not allowed.
You can use weapon racks normally. You know, to get equipment. That is allowed. You can also deploy a ladder or two in siege as defender... to reach somewhere or to to provide some defensive advantage. But not to block doors or entrances. But use common sense please.
Blocking entrances with ladder spam is lame and can be gamebreaking. If you see this kind of misuse, please call in an admin to hand out warnings and temp bans.

I kinda like the suggestion to be honest. Clearly, people want to be able to barricade and put up defenses. But it can't break the game, if you know what i mean. When it becomes totally impossible for the attackers there is no fun to be had. So the trick would be to create something balanced..
Maybe lowering construction site hp would be a good idea for now?

It seems that most people who play this mod think that ladders are meant to be destroyed 5 seconds after they are used, like they're some coded message...

Can we please expand that on siegeshields as well?
Now that ladderblocking is forbidden, people start blocking everything with siegeshields when an admin says "ladderblocking is forbidden" -.-
It's the same actually: It's not what they are meant for, you can't go around and you can't jump over it or shoot through. And a group of siegeshields still takes some time to destroy them :rolleyes:
Please forbid that as well so siege is fun again and no constantspamming to get multi

they are organzied and spam like 50 of them. Thats alot of choping.

Yep, 10-20 ladders on 1 door takes alot of time and they place new ones faster than you destroy them^^
That's why it's forbidden now.
Mordhau, ofcourse it takes only 1-2 hits, but now imagine some guys of the ...... ........ constantly spamming new siegeshields constantly.

I must say that barricading is realy fun and sometimes it is the only way to defend the castle, so I often use CS and siege shields. Yes, something needs to be done about this, but engineering stuff is really good idea, we should extend this, not forbid. Present system with silly-looking CSs and siege shields isn't good, but it is nice start to create somethng really interesting.

Just disable getting CS, Siege Shields and Ladders out of the weapon rack.
Don't disable that stuff, though. Like Darkula said, there are some castles where cs's are the best way to defend it, but spamming them is just wrong. It was good when u had some players in your clan taking a 1-slot weapon and a cs after the first spawn, so they can place it. But if they got destroyed it was way too late to place another, so you would rather take ur usual equip and kill things.

I think i'm right in saying that there is a limit (4 iirc) to the number of any 1 piece of Siege equipment that can be built in Strat Battles.
Just extend this to cRPG and then also include Ladders/Siege Shields.
4 Ladders at once should be more than enough for any team whether attacking or defending. Same with Siege Shields and Weapon Racks

True, I agree with this. There is a potential in engineering on sieges.

There needs to be further elaboration on what is illegal and what isn't on the American ends. I've seen the crafty guys placing five or seven layers of construction sites around defender gate levers. They are literally impossible to get to, as it takes half he effort to construct a new one as it does to destroy them. I can understand wanting to sue siege equipment to better balance out some attacker friendly maps, but come on, on certain maps mechanics like that absolutely breaks the dynamic and balance of the map.

Well, you cant put more than a few sites anyways, so no biggy.

Six for each side, the current problem is the weapon rack, so the destroyed ones can be replaced easily.
