Title: Narra Test Siege

We'll be having another city siege this evening at 19:00 GMT (4 hours from now), with the main purpose of testing one of the new maps from the City Improvement project http://forum.c-rpg.net/index.php/topic,10500.0.html. Narra was chosen for this test.

The secondary objectives of the siege will be:
-testing catapults with the new walls
-testing the AI buying script and the gold amount
-testing the XP gained from the battle

Everybody can apply, however I'd like to have it as close as possible to a real battle so experienced players will have priority. Please sign up only if you are sure you can make it, in order to properly test the map we need a real battle so a full roster is needed. We will do a roster check on TS 20 min before the battle, if you are not there you might be removed.

If it is the At fifteen, I had the will to  learn ; at thirty, I could stand ; at forty, I had no  doubts ; at fifty, I understood the heavenly Bidding ;  at sixty, my ears were opened ; at seventy, I could  do as my heart lusted without trespassing from the  square.. Twice now.

As Punisher mentioned, i'll be leading the attackers on this one. I pledge people to be on the TS server 30 min. before for strategy and briefing. Roster check at 20 min. before the fight.

NOTICE: WE'LL BE USING THE NDITIONS TS FOR THIS BATTLE! We have a channel there called "Strategus test battles"

for defenders: look before the battle if u got hired, the ai is hiring i guess.
attackers: apply and show up on fallen ts if u want to get hired.

No, TS server is just for attackers, defenders will be accepted automatically by the same system used in a normal AI siege.

Is there a roster, or just show up on TS?

There is a preliminary roster for attackers, however there will be a roster check on TS 20 minutes before the battle, if you are not there you will most likely be removed.

Cant connect to ur TS but I will be in that battle

Fallen/HRE TS is down, we'll be using Nditions instead 62.104.20.250:10027. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Starts in exactly 57 minutes from the time of this post. You should be on TS in about 20 minutes if you are fighting for attackers.

yes, u can only use the main for strat battles.

Roster check in 5 minutes, get on TS 62.104.20.250:10027 (Nditions) - Click to join (http://www.teamspeak-einstieg.de/invite/62.104.20.250/?port=10027) or you will be kicked. There will probably be plenty of slots left so even if you were not signed in the initial wave, you can get in if you come to TS.

Great battle guys.

A pity that the ending came in that weirdy way ... attackers not being able to spawn with more than 1000 tickets while defenders were beaten.

Also the broken wall model didn't work that well, but in general, the experience was ok, just need a bit of tweaking.

I don't know, I feel that is something the commanders should know, but not the players. Obviously as an AI town there would be no possible way of knowing.

We woulda won a lot quicker if that flag in the tower would go down. It was either glitched in the tower or there was so much shit on the ground it was blocking it.

Heh, bugged walls sure, but they still worked, kind of,  and we got to try most things out. I had fun, I believe most people had as well. A good start overall.

More like a siege that people hate so much. Hell, we could of EASILY bleed you if we fell back tot he keep instead of playing battle.

Partly why I didn't even try to show up this time. The last time I had an outdated version of the game so I was all buggy anyways, but what really annoyed me was the total lack of teamwork or coordination. To be expected really, but I don't think it's as fun as a proper siege would be. These tests seem to be on the fly though, and to test certain new features, not general Strat gameplay.

Lighten up Francis, it was a fun battle to test out new strategus mechanics. If the defenders had a commander and Strategus was back, yeah maybe people would have fought a little better. But come on.

Vashe was the guy who was messing with them rest of the time.

Edit: And that one time when I was near the catapult I moved the block by mistake, it wasn't intentional.

I had a weird bug where the siege equipment wasn't looking right and the ladders didn't seem to exist, and all the spawn points were flying carpets instead of flags.

But then again I don't have Kazak Equipment either so maybe I missed a hotfix?

Might be the other way around. You dl'ed the full install and THEN applied the hotfix for the old version. Saw a thread with another guy who did it.
