The combination of my courser dying to two hits from literally anything anywhere on its body now and the lengthened get up time from a fallen horse being increased to the point that any idiot gets TWO FREE HITS ON ME before I can do anything has ruined the game for me on my light cav character.
Thankyou for making heavily armoured horses the only viable horses.
Heavy infantry wins again, an other character style is now nerfed to the point of being pointless to play, yay. Yay conformity.

I've never hear about anything that increased the time you need after falling off a horse to get up.

But...but...your faction is archers, your character names start with archer, and both of those have pretty much always been the case...coursers be easy to kill, getting up takes as long as ever.

Go fall off from a horse and see how fast you can get up in armor. Now that I'm talking about this, why don't we add some falling damage to a rider that falls off of his/her horse... :lol:

This has been suggested very often, same as damage to horses when bumping etc.
Maybe the dev team will release something like that with a patch in 2 years or so^^

Some times you die when the horse hits the deck. It looks like you get killed by the fall, I don't know if it is.

You die because hits can hit both you and your hourse at the same time.

I think he means if you jump from a high height..? I've witnessed a few times horsemen who've killed their horses jumping from towers but have also been killed themselves with the headshot icon (no agressor). Not sure if they disconnected or such like but it is very good timing if they did! :P

I started playing this mod 8 months ago or so... And back then my courser usually got shot down in two arrows too, sometimes three, sometimes one.
This has not changed today.
Speed bonus is murder, quit acting like it is any different. At least now it is harder for archers to land hits.

You only survive getting dehorsed 1/10 times an thats just how it should be imho.... :wink:
It still puzzles me why i even bother to carry a 2nd weapon for when getting dehorsed sometimes...
An yes the light horses are made for lancers an works like they should quick in and out ass rape from behind like a coward not frontal Rohirrim lord of the rings style charge :rolleyes:

Cav downtime when horse dies has not been touched in ages, afaik. Depending on where you go down, enemies have always been able to get in two hits on you if they are fast and close enough.
Same goes for the stats on the Courser; it still has the same amount of armor and hitpoints.

I don't see the issue here, as cav you should be doing your best to stay out of range and/or sight of archers/xbows, seems to work fine for me even on my Destrier which is inherently slower than your Courser. Sure you can't expect that you're going to dodge everything, but neither can anyone on foot, atleast you can get out of range far quicker.
Plus if you're getting dehorsed in a big group where you slide across the ground right into someones feet so he can hit you twice, most of the time it's your own error, when it happens to me it's usually because I am just charging in mindlessly, if I play properly usually when I get dehorsed I don't get hit at all or at most I get hit once, then I am fighting on foot.

I've always usually gotten at least 2 free hits on a cav that goes down. I rely on that to beat them or I'll have to run away. That hasn't changed. What has changed that now sometimes the ground registers a hit instead of the rider. Happens quite frequently if you're right on top of them.

Just consider yourself lucky that most of the people aim to the horse, I always aim to rider, way more effective.

I blame night time cycle if they removed that the problem would be fixed.

My first map yesterday as a horseman in cRPG ever gave me a score of 11/4. I was level 22 and had crappy armour. Lancecav is easy as shit so shut up.

They can block pretty much anything coming from any direction at any speed at any time because the whole blocking on horseback is broken to hell.

Falling from a dead horse is not meant to be a walk in the park.
In real life you would not get up for a good minute or two, if at all.

Also if you're horse is damaged when you fall from a height and it's enough to kill the horse the remaining over-kill damage is transferred to the rider.

Riders should get neck injuries if they fall from a horse moving at medium speed or higher.
Just saying.
