I'm halfway through book 4 and it hasn't been explained yet. Is she one of the "others"? How is she back to life and if she was one of the "others" then how would she be able to express emotions such as vengeance for all the men in her life who died?
Just confused and wondering if anyone else has any theories or insight. :D
Edited title to remove possible spoilers. - Serfonz

Thoros the red mage revived her with the might of the Lord of the Light Rh´llor or how hes called, just like he did with beric Dondarrion.Read closer.
btw: Im almost at the same place there :D just a hundred or so pages further.Awesome books for real, although Martins Fetish for letting important Chars die is disturbing :D

You haven't seen anything yet.

I cant really imagine whom he could let die else now...Since Iam already really thinking everbody ever mentioned in the books will be dead by the end of the series.
edit: but y u no spoiler plox!

yeah i finished the last book out and im not sure if its true or not but he does seem to rely heavily on trying to shock you with main chars dying :p

Yes, it's true! He is dead!!!

feast for crows is so much worse than other books imo
luckily all the good characters are waiting for you in dance with dragons
-
I think that's part of the appeal, the knowledge that no characters are truly safe from death. Ned Stark set the trend, Red Wedding confirmed it. Especially since they were both Starks, the most "likeable" (using a modern sense of morality) of all the pretender factions in the series. A couple of exceptions...there's only one Mary Sue and one Marty Stu in the books. Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow. I don't see either of these dying, or at least not until the very end of the series, or close to.

You obviously didn't read Dance with Dragons.

none of the deaths irked me, surprised a bit. but the one is dance was sooooo stupid, not cause I care about who died but the how was retardly out of character imo. rest of the book is pretty nice tho, main big surprise for me was not death related ;) (aegor)

I'll bet you whatevr you want Snow isn't dead :P .

Most likely - next he will appear as undead.

The fourth book sucked. The third was amazing with amazing characters with all stories becoming more intense toward the end. Then came the fourth book, it took me about 3 weeks to finish it, while the others all took me a couple of days.
All the time while I was reading I was wondering why the hell Martin went for those boring ass characters instead of the interesting ones from the third. Luckily then there was that little end paragraph explaining that all the cool people are back in the next book, which I still have to read, so I'll stay clear from this dangerous thread from now on.

yeah exactly its just funny cause at the end it says "sorry next book will be out ~soon" then ~5 years later dance with dragons actually comes out.
he made a big mistake splitting it imo should have stuck to the chronology of first 3 books, it made book 4 really dull.

I think a dance with dragons is the weakest of the books. It just moves nowhere in story and I have little interest in the east.
Get the story back to westeros dammit.
-
is dance with dragons out yet? i tried ordering it in like september on amazon and said that it was gonna be released early october but it still hasnt been released and yet theres like 100+ reviews for it, so i take its been released in america.

Dance with Dragons is better than I expected. Feast for Crows was trash.

+1
Although, Feast also had it's moments.

I was more disapointed from Dance of Dragons then of Feast for Crows. Probably because when I took up Feast I knew that it would be something different, and I would see all the other important stuff in DoD. But then...
My only hope is that he somehow get the damn story finished.
