What about lowering upkeep cost on melee weapons... and increasing upkeep cost on armour... the idea is that it would make carrying multiple weapons more viable, but also make tin cans a lil more expensive. im not talking a big change, but a bit of a tweak... also it make sense from a realism stand point... weps took a lot less metal and crafting than plate >.>

Weapons already do have less upkeep than armor if you're putting your weapon proficiency into the right areas. However, I would highly agree on linking the break chances of shields to shield skill. Also, I'm not sure if arrows and bolts are linked to the corresponding weapon proficiencies, but they break so much they seem like they're not. And if they're not, they really should be.

i was thinking more like... lower melee wep costs by 20% and increase armour costs by 10% or something...

I definitely agree on this one...but that's probably because I usually wear light armor and carry around an expensive weapon. :P
It is true however that I sometimes had trouble making some money when using my Danish Greatsword and light armor, because every time I have to repair it, 1.1k goes out of the window. Even with 160-170 wpf, as I had last gen, it's a pain if you're on a x1 streak...
Medium-short story even shorter: Yeah, I want to make more money on my Greatsword wielding ninja :P

You are not the only one making money ;)
Since they've changed the upkeep for arrows it's very hard for archers to make money -.-
Both bodkin quiver break almost every time

God no.
