There's a map editor built into the main program itself.  No need to get anything more.

WEll the map editor is a load of crap in this. It would be good if there is a seperate program which you make maps on

I've actually found it to be much more straight-forward for the actual editing that other engines I've worked in.. The only slightly annoying setting up the new map in the first place, which takes about 10 minutes if you bother with it.  Then the editor itself is almost too simple at times.

The map editor you speak of, is the terrain generator thing? Or am I missing something somewhere? Because I don't see anything listing objects like ladders, trees, walls, etc.

No, the terrain generator ist just part of it. Host a map, then hit Alt+Enter, then Ctrl+E.

Map editor is already in game...lol.  Now it could always be made simpler to get a scene up to begin with, of course.  You have to do a wee bit of digital acrobatics to get a brand new map up and running.

I've begun a basic guide to getting started on making your own maps for multiplayer in a way that hopefully will not require the module system.  Read it here. (http://"http://forum.c-rpg.net/index.php/topic,1385.0.html")

I can edit maps and stuff, yes, but when I close warband the map isn't saved.

I don't know how to actually save it, and how to rename it and stuff. If someone tells me, I'd be happy. I tried to make a cave map, with tunnels and stuff, really cool, but since I can't save, and it sometimes crashes, I can't post screenies

Run the game in administrator mode if you are on Vista/Win7 and don't have UAC disabled.
