Well I have join Crpg maybe 2 weeks ago and have one really question suggestion which really has a 2 part solution. Its about server Auto-balance feature (i dont think its bad now of course) but....
I think there should be 6 rounds instead of 5 which of course the first round really being the initial balance instead of the current 1 round you getting lucky to be on the winning side due to people flooding one side or the other.( which i do get lucky sometime but in interest of more balance over a gamble) it would be nice to see where all 5 win were truly due to the team over 4 (because ive seen battle that teams get skunked cause they never really find a true balance between the initial round( even though there has been those day where i get switch from one to the next after each round) now i know each round there is a auto-balance at least that what it seems like for me. now i know there are people who are join in an out in the tide of battle which causes balancing issues...
part 2....(now ive only read up to page ten of this forum so correct me if I am wrong)
add a gear score to each that tally up a total an is seen by each player so that after the initial practice round is up there are a total gear score(which should stay visibly in score screen)(now i see numbers in red after battles but i have no idea how they are calculated to determine balance(again only read up to page 10 i am to lazy to read past that) example when new people are joining in they already have a predetermined gear score (so instead of me always being like but i pick the team with less players or because my buddies are on that team) so i know that the gear score is the reason for being thrown on the other team instead of just being left with the question "wtf"
(two things at this point will arise after reading this far i have no idea what he means or i just do not understand him well i do not command a great skill in English grammar and i have a hard time explaining a ideas out of actually telling it to you in person where i don't have these restrictions)
so to recap what im saying so far:
*add a extra round that count for nothing out side of initial numbers
*add a visible gear score for each player (team total)
*if this idea is dumb im sorry i did say i was new and explained for my terrible idea structuring
now i do know people try and exploit this idea in-between rounds but heres the kicker of a idea with a perpetual gear score you will end up recalculating teams each round an could very well screw yourself out of a win here buy rendering wear crappy gear the first round to trick the system so you can switch out to your +3 gear to mes up teams you wouldn't be able too because the gear score in addition with auto-balance would keep you in check but since you would know your gear score you could calculate how just squeak through a gap in the system would require you to make a more balance play style with crap gear making in fair at all times.
ok there is my idea mind you if this is how it is already done there should be a a thread some where on the beginner forum with how auto-balance works so i don't waste my time with making up a idea( just saying lol)
please discuss if you can wrap you head around what Ive wrote/understand it due to being a burnout in school lol

To your first point I say: meh. 5 rounds 6 rounds whatever, it won't make too much of a difference but I personally like the amount of time now. Remember if you play first to 5 wins you could be on the map for 9 rounds, first to 6 could be 11 rounds... it gets to be quite a long time on a map.
To your point of balance gear isn't an awful idea but it might over-weight cavalry players (who pay a lot for upkeep) and under-weight archers (who can make quite an impact with just a bow & arrows). I agree banner balance needs to be tweaked a bit to be more accurate and useful in balancing, but it might need to be looked at further.

well it would tier all gear so if they had top tier bow with bodkins arrows but were wearing peasant it would be like a high end Cav unit but bows would have a high end gear score to even out the other gear that way if a archer were to wear heavy armor with his high end bow that team would be getting less player making it much harder to win which would force the archer to go peasant again if he wanted to win(potential there would be greifers but admins love kicking people) so it really wouldn't hurt badly it would make it hard for people to heavily out weigh one team so there is more even fight so everyone is left feeling like they weren't cheated do to imbalance teams (well skill isn't added in there but that is another idea for another topic)
oh an i checked out that link to that other guys thread that trumps the idea for a extra round all though id perfer a 30 sec window even if everyone is loaded in then they could strat while they waited
