  • Fix equipment remaining wielded on marketplace sell.
  • Removed heirlooms that were used by large groups of people exploiting this bug

Sweet justice.

  • Marketplace offers get deleted after a week (also all old offers deleted cause they didn't have timestamp)

Looks like I'm gonna be re-posting my Nordic Pot Helmet weekly now.

Was badly formatted, it actually shows when you can next STF if last time was less than 7 days ago. Reformatted the note.

The marketplace had way to many bullshit deals on it.  Lots of 3-5mil items.

This patch is great. Thx.

defaulted? like lost or reset?
Title: Re: Website patch

defaulted? like lost or reset?
Well from what I've seen obviously you can't save heirlooms to your load out and trade/sell them and still be able to use them in-game anymore. Also if you let a bunch of different people default that item to their load out, they no longer have that heirloom. So people that just let a bunch of different people default all the heirlooms they have, are kinda fucked.

xD Damn, that's actually pretty clever. Good thing they fixed it though. Any penalties for these people?

I suppose losing all the heirlooms they exploited with is punishment enough. I guess the ones who benefited from the exploit kind of get away with it, though.
Title: Re: Website patch

  • Using QMP ingame resets invalid login counter
  • Improved marketplace logging
  • Marketplace offers get deleted after a week (also all old offers deleted cause they didn't have timestamp)
  • Displays next time STF is possible if last STF was less than 7 days ago
  • Fix equipment remaining wielded on marketplace sell.
    • Removed heirlooms that were used by large groups of people exploiting this bug
  • Website header is now usable with smaller resolutions
  • Minor bugfixes

Nice work. Appreciate the effort. But as a human, I feel the need to be a greedy bastard and ask for more. Any chance we can get the market set up to where you can post offers of gold in exchange for an item? Hell, if you're lacking manpower, I'd be willing to code it myself

Huh, Quite a lot of us have our looms. I still got all mine. Almost all of our "elite"/best/whatever players have theirs. Some people gave up looms so I don't the exact distribution.

Also, you haven't played much with us if you say that. DL is just skilled on siege. No two ways around. Half the siege's randoms do are because we did them first. We are the Pre-eminent siege takers evar!(85% chance)

Well done!
By the way I've heard of people abusing that bug to bypass the repair system, in fact i know one clan which earned several millions by doing that.
Is there a way to track that?

  • No exploiting of any kind
    • NOT OK: Using a bug to gain undeserved benefits

Ok so those who had copies were getting benefits and those who were lending the looms didn't have any benefits am I right ?
Title: Re: Website patch
Post by: okiN on September 27, 2011, 01:59:54 pm
Semantics, the point is that it's not fair play, it's deliberate bug abuse. Providing undeserved benefits to a clanmate is no better than receiving them yourself. You got a slap on the wrist, accept it and move on.

The amount of offers that can be put on the market is limited from 11 to 6?
Title: Re: Website patch
Post by: Camaris on September 27, 2011, 02:44:59 pm
As long as market is so fast like it is now im fine with 6 offers.
PS: You should do something with those exploiting that bug. Not only those who gave their heirlooms away to abuse.
At least you could have reset their money or took away some xp.
What about that money glitch someone mentioned? Anything done about this?

hi admin...can you help me undo the STF with my id???

I am only an admin on the NA servers, I have nothing to do with the website/database side of business, but I can try some troubleshooting. What is the issue?

Just read your bug report. Just listen to what people told you to do and be patient.

I like the most website updates.

But there is now a limit of 6 offers for a char. Imho that's too low. If you want to do item trades it lowers the trade possibilites a lot.
Ok, imho it was done because of the amount of offers and the corresponding loading time. But there is perhaps another solution for that. What about adding more search possibilities and not loading the full list when you enter the market?

What about posting your market offers on the, you know, marketplace board in these forums? No need to put up and offer/request unless you got a deal already,

And using the board can be slow as all hell depending on the kind of trading that needs to be done
