The name of the thread says it all,
Defenders in castles pretty much had mortars that could eventually zero in on the attackers catapults.
Can this be changed?
(this just happened to come to mind, sorry for being late)

To what?
Why?

I think he talks about defenders building catapults and using them to destroy the attackers catapults.

Don't think they did

Who cares? If the defenders managed to do this, more power to them, the attackers can easily move their catapult if the enemy starts getting too close to prevent zeroing in. There is great difficulty in using the "mortar" approach with the catapult.

WELL NOW IT FUCKING HAPPENED AGAIN!
I posted to EXPLAIN what someone meant and I get a quoted reply on how stupid it is. This one wasn't the worst, so no offense to you PhantomZero, but it's starting to piss me off. Whenever I try to explain what someone is talking about people write angry replies to ME about how wrong/stupid/retarded I am, when all I did was making things easier to understand.
I actually agree with you on this. Defenders making a catapult and managing to hit the attackers is VERY well done and should be ENCOURAGED.
Sorry for the rant, but PLEASE remember that what I wrote earlier wasn't MY opinion, just a clarification of what OP meant. I hadn't posted my opinion already.

I so mad I be burning children! Now watch out or I'll take a raiding trip to England and do kinky stuff with you and your family! Consent is optional.

sounds like a plan!

counter-battery fire is pro tactics

Should defender catapults, with skill and experience, really not ever be able to kill attacker catapults? This seems more like a feature than an issue.

Everkistus defending catapult for the win.
